Haha this will kill Manly's season.

There is no recovering from this.

No matter how you feel I would be pretty pissed if seven of my team mates decided not to play because of a jersey design.

You may not agree with the stance manly have taken by choosing this jersey but if you are getting paid a shit load of money to represent the club and play football. You just do it or give up your pay for the week.

There will be a divide over there because of this. May not be this week but if Manly miss out on the finals because of this one game they have thrown away.

Can you imagine Mad Monday when everyone is on the drink and truth comes out with the rest of the squad would be saying thanks to you 7 pulling out has contributed to us missing out on the finals.

So that’s the roosters game thrown by those 7 players. If they miss the 8 by 2pts it won’t be a fun dressing room….

half their team get a rest before playing us, which could be good or bad I guess

They won’t wear a pro LGBT jersey but will play with anyone who (allegedly) bashes their missus ?
Domestic violence is a feature of many traditional cultures.

What are doing playing on Sundays as well.

If they feel so religious they shouldn't be playing on Sundays.

Isn't that wjat Will hopoate did years ago. Before the Dogs made him change his mind or he realised what an idiot he was for missing out on a semi final.

FWIW I think if we did it we'd be missing Matterson that week. And I would say Penrith would have similar numbers to Manly judging by the crosses is see on many wrists. There's no easy answer to this imo, despite some of the back and white views on here.

It's a strange one. It wouldn't surprise me if more players threaten to pull out, just because
the issue is something impacting some of their team mates. Nothing to do with their thoughts on the issue, but more the fact they don't want to play without their mates.

Then there will be the other side, where those 7 will be ostracised by everyone outside of the game.

I think this is just the start of matter to be honest.

Crosses should mean people are ok with gay pride... since there's a well established history within the churches of priests getting away with being gay and/or hitting on underage boys.

Whatever. It's not like paedophiles are exclusive to churches. Not even sure how you jumped to that but I'm not here to argue the point. You obviously have strong views. I'm not so sure it's as clear cut as you are making out.

I’d wager every team in the comp would have similar numbers to the Sea Eagles. The simple answer, in my mind at least, is to get rid of themed jerseys altogether. If the marriage of sports and progressive values is to continue then surely the idea should be to unite through what we share in common rather than what divides us?
