Yeah it's all about good luck and bad luck i suppose. But it's mitigated by beating the Panthers twice and the Storm. It all comes out in the wash.

Losing Moses we'll definitely need someone with a long kicking game to try and soften the blow.Jake is the back up half in our squad, so this is the situation where he should be coming straight in.
I don’t see any point in shuffling Gutho or Matto or using Cartwright. We are already going to be disrupted with the loss of Moses without disrupting further positions in the team.
Right, but Penrith shouldn't have banked the wins against us? The Storm shouldn't have expected to beat us at home? Look at their points differential and hordes of Origin players ffs. We are not in their class. Credit to the team for being able to get up for those games and expose their weaknesses. That’s not how it works. The Tigers/Bulldogs losses should have been considered bankable wins.
Yep I did the predictor thingy and had us finishing 8th aswellI did the ladder predictor and have us finishing 8th based on us only beating Dogs and every other game going to the team placed higher up the ladder at the time of the game.
Cowboys also lost to the dogs, and should have lost against the tigers….they also didn’t beat the panthers……That’s not how it works. The Tigers/Bulldogs losses should have been considered bankable wins. it’s fortunate that we were able to offset them by beating the Storm/Panthers but it’s still a huge missed opportunity.
Upsets happen. We’ve consistently proven we’re able to compete with them at our best. The Tigers and Bulldogs were struggling big time when they beat us.Right, but Penrith shouldn't have banked the wins against us? The Storm shouldn't have expected to beat us at home? Cowboys were considered a bad team in round 1. If the Cowboys had lost to the Tigers then yes they would have considered it giving up a bankable win.Cowboys also lost to the dogs, and should have lost against the tigers….they also didn’t beat the panthers……

Just the tip I’d sayWould you say we are balls deep in this competition?
They weren't struggling at all when they beat us. Those were grand final efforts from both teams. And we're not the only side they've upset. Both teams have won three games this year against top eight sides. Every team can struggle with complacency.Upsets happen. We’ve consistently proven we’re able to compete with them at our best. The Tigers hadn’t won a game when they beat us after 5 rounds. The Bulldogs had won 2 from 13. The teams they upset would be annoyed at dropping points they would have put in the bank. The Broncos tonight for example. They weren't struggling at all when they beat us. Those were grand final efforts from both teams. And we're not the only side they've upset. It doesn't matter what merkins thought of them, in round one they already had the talent that is obvious now after 18 games.Cowboys were considered a bad team in round 1. If the Cowboys had lost to the Tigers then yes they would have considered it giving up a bankable win.
They’re overachieving. Good luck to them but they’re doing very well to be coming second with that roster. It doesn't matter what merkins thought of them, in round one they already had the talent that is obvious now after 18 games.
It doesn't matter what their early season form was like. A team's quality was there from the start even if it only becomes clear to observers after more games. But upsets happen to everyone. The Roosters and Storm have lost to some ordinary teams. Does that mean their coaches are shit? The Tigers hadn’t won a game when they beat us after 5 rounds. The Bulldogs had won 2 from 13. The teams they upset would be annoyed at dropping points they would have put in the bank. The Broncos tonight for example.
It's possible but they have had good junior recruitment for a very long time (they've produced some guns, including big name players currently at other clubs). They have some quality young players who just won an Origin series. It's possible we'll look back and realise we underrated them. They’re overachieving. Good luck to them but they’re doing very well to be coming second with that roster.
The f**k merkin? Did you have all the other top eight teams winning all their games? It's impossible. My ladder predictor has us coming 7th and that’s with wins against manly and dogs. When I put us down for a win against the storm too, we still stayed 7th.
a further win (vs broncos) jumped us to 4th. I can’t see us going the rest of the season with only 1 loss though, especially now with no Moses
Penrith losing their halves hurts us as I think they’ll drop a couple of games they’d have otherwise have won against teams we are battling it out withThe f**k merkin? Did you have all the other top eight teams winning all their games? It's impossible.
