Paps would shift Gutho to the centres and Hughes would then shift Paps to the centres.

Grant, Moses, Drown, Hughes in the spine, with Gutho and Papenhuyzen in the centres.

Easy.
I would go with Drown and Gutherson in the centres:

1. Papenhuyzen
6. Hughes
7. Moses
9. Mahoney
14. Grant

It’s debatable on whether Papenhuyzen would get in ahead of Gutherson and Hughes ahead of Brown. Even so we wouldn’t have Brown and Gutherson as centres on their current salaries because it wouldn’t be very good cap management. So I don’t think it’s as simple as saying Hughes and Papenhuyzen would walk into our team because it’s simply not true.

TPA's help.

Melbourne have a whole city to themselves of corporate business to pick and get them to support an NRL Team.

This was from 2019 though the roosters are taking the Piss with this number but you see the discrepancy between Melbourne, Brisbane & the sydney clubs.

YOUR CLUB’S TPA FOR 2019

Melbourne Storm: $809,998
Brisbane Broncos: $349,852
Penrith Panthers: $233,333
Cronulla Sharks: $211,952
South Sydney Rabbitohs: $198,591
Newcastle Knights: $181,275
Manly Sea Eagles: $148,718
Wests Tigers: $132,458
St George Illawarra Dragons: $82,951
Parramatta Eels: $80,166
Sydney Roosters: $68,966
Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs: $59,680
Canberra Raiders: $45,333
New Zealand Warriors: $27,591
Gold Coast Titans: $18,153
North Queensland Cowboys: $15,667

That may be correct for Roosters but their huge advantage is their high profile supporters who say to prospective players, 'Sign with Roosters and at the end of your football career I'll employ you in a high paying worthwhile career'. Thats what gets plenty of talented players over the line at Roosters. Plus Politis is a shit golf player!

I actually meant that they would walk into our team individually, not all together.

f**k TPAs. These kinds of benefactors are the resources I’m talking about.

Hughes is playing halfback and he’s not better than Moses so he doesn’t make our side. If you’re talking about the number 1 jumper then there are respectable arguments to be made either way but Papenhuyzen still doesn’t “walk” into the fullback spot.

If we merge with the Storm for next season?

1. Pap...
3. Gutherson
6. Brown
7. Moses
9. Grant
14. Hughes (or Brown or Moses, on rotation)

- so long as we teach one of the above to be a relief dummy half, for when Grant wants/needs a spell.

* Oh shit, forgot Munster... make him 13 in attack, and work out something so there's not too many halves targets in defence.
