Hughes is playing halfback and he’s not better than Moses so he doesn’t make our side. If you’re talking about the number 1 jumper then there are respectable arguments to be made either way but Papenhuyzen still doesn’t “walk” into the fullback spot.
Papenhuyzen is a better player than Hughes, but Hughes is good enough. If he was at our club you’d move Drown.

Hughes and Moses don't defend well enough to play anywhere but the spine. Drown is at least as good at centre as in the halves. Maybe Gutherson could move, but I don't think he's physical enough for centre.
Come on Poupy.... We all know you're saying you'd shift Drown to the centres because it backs up the narrative you've been spewing all year that it's been better to move Drown out of position to accommodate JA.... Kudos for sticking solid though... Lol....

I happen to agree with the coach. This isn't under 15s. You don't need to stick your best player at 'five-eight'. In 2009 the Storm bought Brett Finch to wear 6 and shifted Inglis (reigning Dally M Five-eighth of the year) to centre. It's about getting the balance right.

When you say a player would walk into our side I’m assuming you mean readily displace one of our current players from their position. I don’t think that is the case.

No because I believe you sometimes need to move more versatile players to accommodate ones that are less versatile.

Why would they need to directly replace anyone? Hughes and Gutherson have utility value. I doubt the Storm would prefer Gutherson to Papenhuyzen, but I'm sure they'd move Hughes or Munster to fit Moses into the team.

We’re having different conversations then. I’m sure by your definition the majority of our starting 17 would walk into any other teams top 17 as well. The question doesn’t really have any value unless you are picking between players for one position. Gutherson would be in the other picked with Olam for the Storm.

Unless you enjoy talking to the dead, I just don't understand why you keep replying to Pou.
Don't you just feel as though you are banging your head against a brick wall?

Not true. The only one of our backs Penrith would take would be Drown, and he’d play centre. They’d probably take a few of our forwards but they don’t really match Penrith’s defensive style.

Gutherson is wasted at centre and like I said earlier, not really physical enough to excel. I think if Reimis Smith was fit they’d prefer him.
