Apart from last week where he got the wobbles against Nathan's upper stratosphere spiral kicks, when has he really been shit under the high ball ? Happy to be corrected, but what other game did he have multiple kick return errors ?
After last week's effort he'll be targeted. I just hope he's up to the task.

The catch he completed from Jakes harbor bridge pass way up over his head and hugging the sideline was brilliant. The put down was pretty spectacular as well.

didn't we go that way one year and then they changed the rules to suit big boppers
At the time we had small forwards of which most were useless, and at my suggestion and 2 others here, wanted bigger, skillful forwards. They came and immediately our position in the top 8 became mandatory for the last 4 years. But times change if you have innovative coaches and Cleary appears to be one of them. Again he had to get rid of the millstone around his neck (Gould) before he achieved his goals.

Can we talk about this myth ?

The cows battled it out for 93 mins last weekend and how did everyone’s new fav coach Paten use his bench ?

Like Papali’i? He and Hopgood seem like the player types we need. Indians, not chefs.

Hopgoods pass selection is going to create a lot. It's not your general Ryan Matterson pop the ball out back which he can do. It's genuine ball playing like Jnrs style.
He is a 80 min work horse. I like Matto in middle and I am sure he starts the season there but I reckon high chance Hopgood takes it and Matto goes to the edge.
I've not heard or Murchie

I’d understand the blow up if all of a sudden we had changed our bench strategy now in the finals, but BA has used his bench the same way the whole season and it’s got us to 4th. I don’t think we’re going to change the way we’ve played for 6 months when the system has shown to generally be successful.

our bench rotation system didn’t cost us the game last week.

id rather have Carty or Brown there too, but that’s not how we’ve played in months.

BA said in the captains run presser that Jake will be there, but he may not be called upon. He’s also previously said our game is built upon big mins from Paulo & RCG as they are on big $$ so that’s the expectation.
But this approach is probably why we can't win more than 3 games together during the year. And if we make the g/f, wouldn't we want our forwards, particularly our middles, fresh and firing and not tired and easy meat for Penrith?

one would think that mitch would be sending them up all session long for waqa to catch

What's annoying with Waqa isn't just the dropped bombs. It's his choice to attempt to catch one's when he is better off letting it bounce and wrapping up the defender.

We also need to be better with our attacking bombs. To often last week they ended in bad areas. To far out to catch or slap back. Waqa slapped back a few times and Penrith ended up with it on the 30mtr line.
Huge errors by Waqa and guys kicking.
A good kick results in a try or at worse you've pinned them within their own 10. This happend 3 times last week. Was huge momentum changers.

I thought we'll he is 23. Hasn't made it. Bog average signing.
But have watched him. He walks into our side.
Big engine.

He won't be the hard runner like Marata. But his defense is great. Runs hard enough and will be in the top 10 ball playing forwards in NRL.

Wonder if Matterson moves back to the edge….and Rodwell starts to offer what Marata does (early aggression ) the Hopgood comes on after 20 or so…

I don’t think Matterson ball movement/playing is that great

On Murchie, his run metre stats aren’t that impressive (68 m per game / papa averaged 81 at the Warriors in his last year ) - and there could be reasons…….however he did average 9.71 m per run. This is better then papa this year who is averaging 9.13 and 9 in his last year at the warriors …
Warriors system is broken anyone could look poor.

I have seen enough glimpses in Murchie to suggest he will be a good signing outside Moses.
