The post to which you responded made no mention of Cartwright nor did it reference "Rewarding blokes who put themselves above the team"....you are easily the best deflector I have ever seen.
This is why I think everyone else may be a parra fan with a differing opinion but you may just be a bloke perpetually tilting at internet windmills....
A few old colleagues from Fairfax who still work there tell me there's a weird Merkin at Nine with photos of Jake Arthur all over his desk and is on the wallpaper on his laptop.... I assume that's @striderJust a question for all the apologists on this site: In your normal life, where people know your actual name and can see you, have you ever told anyone how good JA is or that you think he should be picked in the team?
I only ask because I live and work in the Parramatta area and am heavily involved in junior football and in all my conversations with people about football there has been no one who thinks JA is a first grader or deserves to be picked in the team. It seems a universal view in real life and it seems to be that people only defend JA's selection on the internet.
So I was curious if the likes of Pou, Gronk, JokerEel, Twizzle, Strider or Cloeel actually defend JA's selection or status as a first grader in real life?
Thank you for answering so honestly - curious that you yourself don't publicly advocate for his selection in first grade.
I dont blame JA for a loss, I blame his father for jeopardising the team's chances by picking a kid who is clearly and unquestionably not ready for first grade - and, it seems, alienating parts of the squad.
I actually wouldn't prefer cartwright.Dude.... Defending his selection would incorporate other players in the team that could fill the bench spot instead of JA... Hance Cartwright..
Other players have varying quality in their performances, but I believe they are up to first grade standard. Why would I? I don't pick the team.. Plus who is going to care or listen to what side I would pick....
Like I said I don't wet the bed I have supported this team with some pretty shitty players in the team and still supported them. I just get on with life.
Another question why do you not criticize other player in the squad as much as you and the other bed wetters do in JA?
I actually wouldn't prefer cartwright.
I would prefer Hayze Perham as the utility.
I also think that if Hands or Yates had been given remotely the same opportunities as Jake Arthur, they would be obvious choices as utilities.
Its why I blame his dad and not him.
Other players have varying quality in their performances, but I believe they are up to first grade standard.
jake is clearly not.
In addition, it is obvious to me that Jake's continued selection (despite his obvious lack of requisite quality at this point in his career) is a coaching mistake that has destabilised the team and has a clear and distinct impact on team performance (reference the Commbank Stadium stat)
Yeah, he would probably be my third choice - still in front of Jake.Yates has been in and out of Cup. Isnt that the Cup coaches fault?
Both are not Top 30. I'm unsure about second tier cap etc.I actually wouldn't prefer cartwright.

because I have seen him play and formed my own opinion. Why not?

Well it would be an assumption that your opinion has a bias towards it hence the amount of post on JA and no actual proof..because I have seen him play and formed my own opinion.
Not that my opinion matters in the grand scheme of things, but I am content to trust my own eyes when evaluating a player.
in your opinion, would you pick Perham over Jake? Both are not Top 30. I'm unsure about second tier cap etc.

The Dragons have signed Australian Olympic sevens star Nathan Lawson and extended Kyle Flanagan, while luring Dan Atkinson from Cronulla for 2026.www.nrl.com
Perham was definitely an option.
no tries were scored with him on the field in first grade at Commbank this year.If I get bored ill disprove this with images of the tries scored when he is on the field.
Lets go back to the Storm game.... The tries were scored through poor defense by Ice and Matto.
Well Teddy runs so f**king low to the ground with all the money in his back pockets.Possibly the should injuries swinging the club and leg injuries filling their pockets with all the money they win from Uncle Nick....
what proof would there be that he is not up to first grade standard.Well it would be an assumption that your opinion has a bias towards it hence the amount of post on JA and no actual proof..
It's complex because you need cover to be a least disruptive as possible. Can Perham kick if our 6 or 7 goes down ? If not, who is the second option ? I think that BA has decided on Jake for 6,7,9 and Marata for 1,2,3,4,5 in a re-shuffle. So he thinks Marata as a better option in 3, 4 than Perham. If it came down to Jake vs Perham in the 6,7,9 then does Perham win ?in your opinion, would you pick Perham over Jake?
No, I have an opinion as do you. It's just that we don't have the day to day info that is required to make an informed judgement. And yes, I know that you are not the coach and that you believe only the coach's opinion matters.
Yes, and TBH you have been quite confrontational at times. I of course have been a saint.but this is the most civil discussion we have had and i am curious as to your opinion?
