In the last 12 games of the year Taupua made 30 TB vs Kafusi 11. He also had 13 offloads vs 4.
Also remember one is playing in a dominant pack and the other is balls against the wall in one of the weaker packs in comp.
He would be very handy for a season. Type of guy who may even turn back the clock and potentially be as good as Jnr or RCG for a lot of games. Based on age I wouldn't imagine week in week out but he is still a year younger then Hargraves
I'm predicting he'll go well. Because he doesn't eat plants.

Breaking: Ex-NRL coach Daniel Anderson ‘left on a ventilator’ after horror surfing accident in NSW

Staff Writers from Fox Sports
December 31st, 2022 7:07 pm

Former NRL coach Daniel Anderson has been rushed to hospital after a freak surfing accident on the NSW Central Coast.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports the ex-Parramatta and New Zealand Warriors coach was body surfing at Soldiers Beach neat Norah Head while on a family holiday when disaster struck.

It’s believed the 55-year-old was dumped on his neck by a big wave as family members rushed to his aid.

There’s also reports the now Sydney Roosters recruitment boss suffered a cardiac arrest as a result of the traumatic accident.

Anderson was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital and is now in a stable condition.

The SMH reports Anderson is on a ventilator and being kept under supervision.

Anderson has been working at the Sydney Roosters since 2019 after a long stint in the game both in Australia and abroad.

The Roosters confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that Anderson was involved in an accident on Friday.

“He received immediate medical attention and was transported to hospital where he remains under the care of doctors,” a Roosters spokesperson said.

“There is no further medical update available at this time.”

The former Parramatta junior worked under Brian Smith back in the 1990s before landing the job as Warriors head coach in 2001.

He took the club to their first finals series that season and their first grand final the following year - where they were beaten by the Roosters.

Anderson headed to St Helens after his resignation in New Zealand, remaining at the helm of the Saints for more than 70 games before returning home to Australia.

He then led Parramatta for three seasons, including to the 2009 grand final - where they were beaten by the Melbourne Storm, before the club’s salary cap controversy while he worked in an off-field role.

Remarkably, the Storm were stripped of that 2009 premiership for their club’s systematic rorting of the salary cap.

Anderson was later approved by the NRL to return to the game with the Sydney Roosters in 2019, with some restrictions, after two years away from the sport.

Who said he would be the next great? Every club signs 13-year-olds. The difference is we were one of the first, and because it’s the Eels it made the news.
Parra said that at the time mate, not me. Just saying teams sign players all the time ready to be the next big thing but amount to nothing. As for making the news, probably for the wrong reasons I say.

They would never say that about such a young player. They don’t even say it about youngsters playing first grade. They don’t want to pressure them.

No It’s because we have the most fans.

Penrith just won all 4 grades. I bet there is 3 or 4 gun players waiting in the pipeline.

I'm not fussed if we win a comp. Making finals every year is still pretty fun to watch.

But, in your own wise words - not many make the step up to First Grade.

Exactly. I mean you would imagine if won the comp you would have a strong side and most likely more quality players which means higher chances of having NRL players of the future right?

It isn't always the case as our under 20s for example could be full of kids a year younger. But on the law of averages if your winning all the lower grades I would imagine you have more chances of unearthing tomorrows stars.

As I said he isn't going anywhere and neither him or Dylan had any plans to. Currently Parra are enjoying free publicity.
Penisini has also been sorted. Expect 2 x more signings I was told. I imagine Taupua being one.
For thr last, what position would u target? Our 3/4 is probably the weakest especially with waqa and sivo off contract.

So i am guessing a centre. Sivo should look for a pay day.so dunster, bailey and russell can fight out the wings

I guess hooker is also vulnerable in 2024

Going nowhere
I can do that.

Going nowhere. Was never in doubt.

(Signs with dogs or insert random club) he was a done deal, but the dogs came in with a last minute offer to get the chocolates.

I'm a winner no matter what happens now. You heard it here first.
