Who talked up the lui? Only the mole did, it’s what he does best, talk up a junior leaving for another club…..

Lui wasn’t even training with the NRL squad last preseason…..

A few. Anyhows point is its hard to find a half that is going to be good. Heaps of kids look good yet dont make it.

A few ? A couple of fans…the club never rated him highly. Look at the clubs actions on juniors not fans or the media, on their potential…..

while we already have a 20 year old half in the squad who is already very good in NSW cup and who has had some good moments in the NRL and not so good moments, but a lot of fans are happy to write off…..

Exactly. Dylan Brown, for example, was most likely to be a gun for the fact he played NYC at the age of 17. No foregone conclusions, but those are the type of indicators to look for. Sanders is tracking very well. Not as well as Drown but still following the career trajectory of a future NRL player. Also plenty of duds.

Well I don't know if the club rates Ethan. I am going off the people on here,
But on Lui if the club didn't rate him to begin with why did they bring him here? That seems strange.

Yes. But I am just pointing out heaps are guns in the younger grades. Some are even guns in the NRL for 2 or 3yrs and then flushed out after 2 or 3 yrs. I genuinely thought that Titans half was going to be a great one Ash Taylor. He crumbled

Cause every club has a flegg squad to fill, and all clubs sign players to fill a position or on the chance they may make it…..

I assume the club saw some potential in him but no where near the level some thought he had…

Some kids take the chance others don’t. Look at Mahoney, we obviously saw some potential but were unsure (just like Lui), thus it was up to him to take that chance. It we thought he was a certainty of being an NRL player we would gave him a better deal at the time.

Also like Peter Taateo who has left us to go to Penrith. Why would the panthers sign him to play flegg? Don’t they have heaps of juniors? And he aren’t anywhere near their NRL squad.

I thought we rated Taateo? Maybe not?

I heard they snagged the hottest prospect to come out of NZ.
Made me wonder what the hell is going on over there with juniors.

Anyhows try and relax. You seem to take forums a bit to seriously. We are just having a casual chat. You always go on the defensive.
