Taking all the agendas away the fact of the matter is that we overpaid for Brown in the back end of his career and now we don't have to anymore. As long as we buy someone that will fill a gap in our squad, I think it's good business.

We need a centre/winger, a prop or a bench hooker. We will acquire at least one I'm certain.

Does releasing Brown free up that much? If he was on 500k, we have already paid him 5 months worth (Nov - March), which frees up a bit over 250ish.

I am not saying what you were told is true or not but I remember you being told and by whom... there is a slight chance that there was some false bravado on behalf of Nrown in what you were told, given who told you and the circumstances at the time.

When it happened, I asked some questions of some people I do know at the club and was given a resounding #fakenews however that doesn't mean they weren't lying to me either.

Definitely good points mate but it does seem an odd thing to randomly make up if it’s not true. It may or may not be the reason Nrown played one more game of first grade, but I have little doubt the events took place and they were looked upon unfavourably. Their impact on selections is speculation.
