We are loaded in the 2nd row for back ups and benche style guys. This is not a depth signing.

But in terms of where he ranks, he would only be ahead of momesesia and Murchie. I can’t see him being picked on the bench in front of Makatoa or Doorey. And certainly not Carty for that matter

Maybe we need a middle now but can't get anything, so we signed a guy who can play middle and edge to rotate through the middle and edge, and give Matto more time in the middle.

We need to replace RCG and the long minutes he plays in the middle, we aint likely to find a bloke to do that, so next option would be sign a bloke who you can rotate through the middle and use an existing bloke ( like say matto ) to cover more minutes in the middle and rotate through the edge, that way getting the same or close to the same minutes in the middle without adding an interchange.
