I first heard of him last season when he came back from injury. I have no idea if he’s a quality junior because he’s stuck behind a park footy player like Mummamoasia.

My post was saying the solution is already in place. We hired Nathan Brown to help fix the problems in place. That’s the “solution”.
Is it late to the party? Yes.
Was it as simple as getting the right person? No, it required getting a whole new constitution.
Is it the best? We won’t know for awhile unfortunately. And even if it’s the best right now, it may not be the best tomorrow.
What’s the actual solution? Being able to monitor and evaluate the system progressively which management has shown some ability at, then whether they as well are monitored/evaluated then falls to the board.

Gould beefed up the Dogs juniors in 16 weeks. They won the HM and now have some of the best kids in the comp.

We may of neglected our juniors. But I recall when Dylan and Reed come thru 5-6yrs ago now BA commenting how our juniors pathways had been neglected but now we will start to see some juniors coming thru again as they've repaired them.
In 2014 there was plenty of talk about how they are fixing them and will take 5yrs so it made sense.

The question is what has happened since?

Administration (2017) and Covid (2020) forced us to ‘neglect’ them because the administrators needed to balance the books, and Covid caused us to lose a heap of income. The quality of your junior recruitment/retention system is all about money. That’s how you hire the best people in sufficient numbers.

Yes but the word “now” can preclude itself from things that have happened up to now.
You and hindy have been fixated on juniors that haven’t come through in the past X years. To say blah blah is at fault for it is only punishment, it isn’t fixing the problem. And to lay the fault at individuals is highly likely a misidentification of what the problem actually is.

But we’re not talking about BA. Other than his role in development. The others in development will likely be evaluated on both shorter and longer metrics than BA. But likely have shorter contracts too.
