Do u ? and why ?You don't like the backups we have?
Do u ? and why ?You don't like the backups we have?
The previous 9 ?It was based on last year's KPIs.
Any particular reason for your optimism?
With his tongue!!Serious question to you Pou. Let’s say for arguments sake we get the spoon this year. Should we sack BA on the back of that? Does it have to be that drastic to sack him or would simply missing the 8 initiate a boning?
Just curious to see how you would polish that turd.
Yep….let’s potter around in the top 8 for the next 10-20 years, and let everyone else lap us, there approximately half a dozen clowns on on here who would be happy with the above scenario, mind fkn boggling…..I believe this is the urrent attitude of the front office, Sad kntsThere is being glass half full people. Some people are just far to happy and cheerfull it makes you a bit sick to be around. Everythings great. Oh its personaly growth.
But then you have the take charge men. Guys who see problems and rather than pretend its all fine and things will improve in time they start to find solutions. They may not be the happiest people around because they always strive to be better. Perfectionist perhaps.
When I do a job I don't pull my dick over how good it is. I see how I could of done it better even if its marginal and find the faults with it so next time it is improved.
We are talking an elite professional sport here. There is no room for error. 1 or 2 wrong decisions amd your behind the 8 ball.
Look at the grand final. BA brings in N.Brown who hasn't played NRL for months. Why not bring him back earlier.
Then the whole ahh lets just treat it like another game. See you at the ground. What a f**king dope. Any chance was lost right then. The whole idea of a team bus and grand final breakie is to let the players know THIS IS SPECIAL. THIS MAYBE YOUR ONLY SHOT AT A PREMIERSHIP.
It was game over before we took the field. The Panthers where HIGH all day processing the big game. Our guys where planning how long it will take to get to the ground.
That's when he had to be terminated
Yeah I was about to post something along these lines, lucky I read ahead FFS....
My take on BA's "extension" was that he had the right to exercise the extension given the teams performance from last year. I didn't get the impression the club were falling over themselves to lock him in after a few rounds of this season....
is average, at this pointFor all the Paul Alamoti fans, have you seen some of his defensive reads and he hasn't shown anything like Averillo has attack or speed and footwork wise? Not saying he won't improve, I mean he is only 19 years old and playing in the same crap team that Averillo is, but just because he is bigger and stronger then Averillo doesn't mean he will be better long term. Might be, but might not. Both these players have question marks over their futures that's why the Dogs have chosen to add two new centres to their squad for next season. But on potential Averillo and maybe Alamoti are better then anything we currently have at our club and should not break the bank.
Like I said though, their defensive weaknesses would be significantly improved upon in a better all round team. I just tend to think when you have great speed it is way easier to adjust and recover and we also are lacking that blistering kind of speed which I would love us to have again. It would make such a difference to our attack and give our playmakers a new option to work with that we haven't had for years. I see Alamoti as being no faster than what we already have.
It is however he still appears stale. Our inconsistency validates it. He should do the honourable thing and come to an agreement with the club if he doesn’t makes the semis this season.Yeah, you, and Pou, are probably right.
I didn't even consider that.
And to be fair, extending him for taking us to a Grand Final, is deserved.
I don't have a problem with them because I have no reason to. At full strength the reserve grade side goes okay.Do u ? and why ?
He’s as stale as a month old bread. Our defensive structures are embarrassing and haven’t improved in years. It is however he still appears stale. Our inconsistency validates it. He should do the honourable thing and come to an agreement with the club if he doesn’t makes the semis this season.
Nah you're making shit up again. I have been quite critical of the club, especially over the past month.serious question for yourself, Pou, Gronk, Emjaycee...do you ever want to see more from Parra? Or are you just happy with what we have?
Why is it that you take any criticism of the coach, management or underperforming players like a personal affront?
I infer that Emjaycee is apparently close to those within the inner circle and probably takes it personally for that reason, but what is the story with the rest of you?
The last Eels coach to win more than half his games was Brian Smith, who finished up almost 20 years ago. The last Eels coach before that to win half his games was Monie, over 30 years ago. Don't take Arthur's record for granted. This is a club that has chewed up and spat out premiership winners since 1986. I'm not saying there aren't better coaches than Brad Arthur, but how do we know they would want to come here. Fitzgibbon turned his nose up at head coaching gigs at weaker clubs than Cronulla, and we don't know how the likes of Bellamy and Bennett see our club as providing the level of support they'd expect. Hasler is/was a great coach (IMO) and he is currently unemployed. You have to wonder why. I'm sure his reputation has taken a hit and in a position of leadership that could be enough to disqualify him from getting another chance. The previous 9 ?
I’d take Hasler tomorrow. The last Eels coach to win more than half his games was Brian Smith, who finished up almost 20 years ago. Incorrect. The last Eels coach to win more than half his games was Brian Smith, who finished up almost 20 years ago.
Same. He could get a lift to training with Gutho. We know what a tightarse Des is, if he gets to carpool with Gutho, that might be enough to get him over the line....I’d take Hasler tomorrow.
The fact of the matter is that a different voice, different style can have an immediate effect on a strong line up which we have. The team has Stockholm syndrome with BA. They just don't realise it yet.I forgot he even coached us. Yeah 2007 was a decent year. Shame we had to meet Melbourne in the finals again. Can't help bad luck.
Like when we replaced Smith with Taylor? The fact of the matter is that a different voice, different style can have an immediate effect on a strong line up which we have. The team has Stockholm syndrome with BA. They just don't realise it yet.
Pou giving up wrong stats?? What a shocker!!Incorrect.
Jason Taylor had a 63% win percentage at Parra. Only 16 games but it was impressive enough for Souths to nab him. Also the first ever interim coach to take a team to the semis. Your argument is flawed and factually incorrect.
Michael Hagan had a 51% win percentage at Parramatta.
Like I said above, I'd take Hasler in a millisecond.
