SELFISH' COACH DRIVES ASSISTANT OUT​

A former NRL star who has done the rounds as an assistant coach in recent years has decided to quietly walk away from the game after nearly 20 years in the NRL.

When I asked why he was quitting his club, he replied: "Because the head coach is a selfish prick who doesn't care about anyone but himself."

Hard to argue with his decision in that case!

I would hazard a very strong guess that it’s a certain rep star and that the club have also lost another former NRL star

Is it a former Eel, who took a caretaker NRL spot here and has been assistant and Cup coach at a another club ?

Hooper says Parra stuffed up by not keeping Ice, Marata and Mahoney.... Should have kept them he says...

There is a thing called the salary cap you douchebag. We'd love to have kept them but when the Tigers offered probably close to 3 times what he was getting at Parra, what else was Ice going to do? And the Dogs put a far higher value on Mahoney than we did. We can't just keep trumping other clubs offers.

Hooper having a job in rugby league media is an embarrassment.

Yeah, he isn't too intelligent.

Marata went back home to NZ - I doubt we could have kept him (and we probably would have wanted to).

Papali'i is still showing he is not worth the sort of money the Tigers paid for him - his defence is atrocious.

Provided there were no other underlying issues, Mahoney is one player we should probably have fought harder to keep.

Hooper is a flog who should stick to whacking car bonnets.

Marata was going home for Personal Reasons. Warriors offered him a pretty good deal that would have been not dumb but reckless to match considering who we still had off-contract.

Papali'i was the major stuff up i reckon we could have kept him 400-500k if we didnt fall asleep at the wheel during 2021. We only had to offer him a small upgrade during that season and i reckon he stays before going to market. Left the door open for the Tigers to offer a massive offer he had to take.

Mahoney didn't want to be here he had a personality clash with Moses & Gutho which i think the feeling was mutual off what we saw last month. He also wanted more control and be higher up in the leadership something he would never have gotten here.

The question i have is Matto worth 650k when he misses a quarter of the season.
