Wishful thinking. We might have a bit spare but only enough to pay some decent merkin for half a season and backload the difference.

Hahahaha...

You are amazing. You don't ever think we have enough money in the kitty to sign quality, but you always profess that we are paying our players way less then reported and what we all think, but then to cover your arse with a little extra insurance, you throw in that no one knows really what any of the players are on. So we should all just stop speculating and trust the people in charge who are the experts.

You cover the whole gamut of options and argue each point relentlessly. Very impressive if we were all goldfish. But unfortunately for you besides your apologists mates we all actually do have a bit of a memory.

Troll.

I'm righting off every year that Potato Head is here. No way this stubborn mule he is bringing home a Premiership.
When he is finally gone, then I will reassess depending on who the new hoax coach is and what pitiful state our roster is in at the time.

So maybe in 3 years time, I have a feeling whoever these morons will bring in as a new coach that is so underwhelming that the needle will not change in the right direction and like I said before the apologists will have a field day telling the rest of us how they were right.
They need to bring in an experienced coach. No more rookies learning at our club.

John Morris is one guy who I admire and I’ve already said that Nathan Brown would be ideal as would Hasler.

I actually think our cap is fine, but our recruitment was hamstrung and couldn't make any recruitment decisions until Moses decided what he was doing. We apparently have plenty of cash to spend, just no one to spend it on at the moment.

So was Moses going to take all that extra money too. God you people don't think straight.

Moses was going to take what he was offered or he wasn't. It was budgeted. Whatever other money we had/have to spend has nothing to do with Moses committing or not. We still need to strengthen other positions and spend that money doing so. If Moses didn't re-sign, then we would have had his money too to spend on a new halfback that I can assure you was not going to cost us anywhere near $1.2m because there is no other halfback available that would command that kind of money.

If there was you can rest assured the Dogs, Tigers and the Dolphins would be in that race too.

How much f**ken rest do they need!

I'd give RCG the rest of the year off. That's how much rest they need.

What's the point bringing him in quickly or a week or to to early now. The season is over, let the boy get a good rest and recharge and be much fresher for next year.

Obviously they won't do that, but I would bring him back as late as possible now. He is not needed. We are not winning jack this year and no semi's so let him rejuvenate a little. I'd also do this with Paulo and Lane and even Gutho. I'd give them a week off here and there throughout the remaining season. All our mainstay's who have been forced to play this toxic chase the collision one dimensional crap should be given a holiday wherever possible.

In fact the only player that I wouldn't give a single minute off to is that tight arse bludger that helped cruel our season by sitting out the first 4 rounds. Him I would make play NSW Cup first before every NRL game left in the season. Double duty for that fu*ker!

We had a lot of key players that we needed to sort out, Brown, Penisini and Moses, so until that was sorted we couldn't move forward. None of these were sorted out by 1 November last year.

We also appeared to have a gun-shy club not wanting to commit to anything until the salary cap was decided, when other clubs just got on with the job with what it was likely going to be anyway.

I don't really care we let him go... He was shit for over a year and should not have played in the GF..

My point is we had him and sent him to the Roosters but got nothing in return. Yes cap space that's great and going to keep fans happy now.

Mate I don't think the Roosters would have taken him off our hands had we demanded a players swap. The deal took like forever as it was without some kind of restitution in kind.

I think we were just glad to get rid of him now and get whatever little Salary cap space relief is left on his contract now. If a deal had been done last year the a player swap may have been on the cards then.

This year we have a few possitives.

1..Peninsi- He has gone up a level. Great kid. Faster then I thought. Gee he showed some toe late night.

2. Hopgood - Solid player and will get better with a years experience.

3. Grieg - Getting better each week. Capable of big hits.

4. SG ball winning the comp. - We will see these kids start to come thru in 2025/2026

5. N.Brown/Waqa off the books and hopefully Hodgson.

I wouldn't completely give up yet. By rnd 15 but if we aren't firing I'd honestly start blooding guys and limiting people like JNR,MATTOS,LANES minutes so we have them fresh for next season and also blooding and giving more experience to guys like Greig,Doorey etc.....

Did we sign Davey with the cap space saved on Brown I bet we did ....

Penisini has been excellent the last few weeks.

I know, Bennett is wanting to go home at the end of his stint with the Fins, but I would be making it known that if he wants to continue coaching and make history and cementing his name as the undisputed king of the world in RL coaching, Parra is his White Whale and that this is his last and ultimate conquest.

I would throw the bank at him and give him all the resources known to man if he was willing to come here for 2-3 years. It took Gibson the best coach ever at the time to get us our maiden premiership. I'm afraid it looks like it may need the best there ever is now.

Morris is not the man. Great assistant though.
