You’re the one saying we need four forwards on the bench. Just because Arthur picks four doesn’t mean he thought we needed four. He has to pick 17 players. If player 17 isn’t good enough it doesn’t matter if he’s a forward or not.

nah we don’t need 4 forwards. We just can’t carry an average half that has zero utility value. A forward makes more sense thou.

Manly Coach Anthony Seibold welcomed Jake to the Sea Eagles.

"Jake adds depth to our squad, particularly in the halves. We feel he also has got the ability to be a ball playing forward with his size and defensive capabilities,'' Seibold said.

I’m happy for JA. He needs to step out of his father’s shadow and earn his spot as a first grader. If he loves Parra I’m sure we will get a shot at getting him back if he ever becomes a decent 1st grader.
He'll come back

As our coach

Is he depth or back up? ffs. (not a lot of speed in their halves if it's Jake and Josh)

So you think it’s good business to move on a 19 year old halfback who is still learning to play agst men , rather than stay at his current club playing some NRL games as needed.

Not sure you would be suggesting this if it was Penrith, it’s certainly a decision to be made, rushing young players into NRL isn’t necessarily the best for his future. As long as there is a path set out, then he can work over a couple of years to take control etc.

He is 20. Our coaching staff obviously don't rate him as high as you do. I've heard from my little birds that the younger halves in our system are far more talented and will over take him by 2024 in pecking order. I trust our coaching staffs judgement. Sounds like you think they got it wrong.

Well, if Brown here for 6 years and Moses for 5, I hate to think we might lose one or two more.

I think Flannagan, Trindal, Walker, Sullivan,W.Smith, Falls, Wakeham are all in the mix as handy back ups. Is JA better? Maybe
It's debateable

All those options probably cost more than JA?

We may as well have kept JA?

Unless of course some of JA's salary is being used to strengthen another position - in turn giving us less money for a back up half. Unless of course one of our youngsters is ready to fill that void, when Brown or Moses is unavailable.

I hope they turn him into Bradley Clyde. We saw how the Roosters transformed Matterson.I really hope he goes well and kicks on. I will be more interested in watching Manly if he plays first grade.

Opening the doors for Ethan Sanders maybe?
Remember Guth contract end 2025. It might be a case of Dylan going to Fullback for 1 or 2 years untill Moses is gone. I highly doubt we sign Gutherson any longer. The SG BALL squad will produce atleast 3 or 4 NRL players.

Gutho may move centres for his next contract. He would only be 31

I can't see him slowing down though as he doesn't have elite acceleration anyway his game is built on fitness and energy so he won't fade away or it won't be noticed as much.

He could play to 34-35 years of age.
