BA said they will most likely move Gutho to 5/8 and Asi to fullback if their is an injury in the halves.

Playing him at cup at 5/8 when he will likely have to play fullback doesn't help him develop the skills to play Fullback in the NRL.

BA is in mourning. He doesnt know what he is saying.

I have no doubt the options today are better than those of last week.

The options are now the same minus one player who has been a standout in reserve grade.

He went off the rails a little when he first arrived at the Tigers. Was a bit of a cheap shot merchant too. However during the past 18 months he has become a leader and refined his game. I think we are acquiring him in an upward trajectory, I still think he hasn’t reached his prime despite previously playing origin.

Joffa was our best last year but is struggling to get a run in the side this year. Ironically I think he is playing better this year than he did last year, which I think is mostly coaching.

Ive copped a bit of flak here for saying he isnt a prop and I stand by that and IMO the way he is coached and the way the coach uses him is the difference between him playing at near SOO standard (he isnt ever getting back there) and an also ran. He isnt big or particularly fast but used right is a different weapon in a pack.

Yeh, as I said a few pages back. His older brother broke his neck in a game in our junior system in 2017, and the club told him to retire, and wouldn't consider re-registering him later on. Not unreasonable behaviour, but you can understand why the player and his family think or thought otherwise.

I remember reading that nobody would insure him.

In our team he’ll basically split time with Matterson & Hopgood as “small” middles

Played every game in Tigers 2022 spoon campaign as well. You might be onto something.

Three selections doesn’t equal top 17 unless he was unavailable for the other 20+ games. Top 17 means your team at full strength. Utoikamanu was a backup, as proven by his minutes per game.
