I probably didn't word that right. When I said 'effective' I meant he 'wins' the tackle 30% of the time.
Ah ok gotcha

No problem with not having an attacking hooker as long as they are great in defence and give quality crisp service from dummy half (Peats) IDG's and Kaysa's service is very poor especially when they are tiring.I agree. I think for our team there is less need for an attacking hooker. With our 2 ball playing halves we need the hooker to deliver clean early ball and tackle his ring off. I can also see Bevan getting into dummy half occasionally and using his speed against a retreating defensive line, ideally with Mennings or Semi backing up on the outside.
If only we could merge them all into one player....lolTheir service is both rubbish IMO. IDG's defence is great but he offers little else. Kaysa is very nippy and hits hard in defence but I don't think he will be anymore than a back up bench dummy half. King is easily the most talented and skilful but sadly he tackles like Luke Burt. As I said all of them are barely first grade.
They'd still only be Matt Keating. If only we could merge them all into one player....lol
What, like a human centipede? If only we could merge them all into one player....lol

Im not worried about hooker ... i think degois is better than people give him credit for
Bevan is a class player - plenty to learn but he is very good
Of the spine players, I would say the biggest question mark is Gunco ... but i also think he is quite possibly the biggest surprise packet and wouldnt be surprised if he makes a real go of it
Our dummy halves didn't affect our attack last year (yeah there was the odd poor pass but overall there was no real issue), so why would it been a massive issue next year when:
- Norman will play more games
- our halves combo of Norman / Gutherson will have all offseason to work on our attack as opposed to last year when Foran wasnt really training
- we have some bigger forwards in our side then last year (Pritchard / vave)
- we will have a ball playing fullback which we didn't have.
- Jennings will have a full offseason with us.
I stand by my comments. Dummy half is and could remain our biggest worry in 2017. It stifled our attack on many occasions last season, it's just that some of you here are to stupid to notice.
Or maybe you are to stupid to look at what BA is trying to achieve !!
Yes, on reflection a human centipede doesn't seem like a practical solution.I was thinking more like some kind of mutant superman. A human centipede would be far too slow out of acting half
Apparently Tep was on the selection panel. It's a shame that we couldn't get @TheRam as coach and had to settle for BA.
If you look at each club's hooker options, ours are certainly towards the shallow end of the talent pool.If we brought in a hooker it'd have to be s gun. We have 3 mid talent players already there. Not trying to bag them, just saying it as it is.

and he should have been CEO
