I stand by my comments. Dummy half is and could remain our biggest worry in 2017. It stifled our attack on many occasions last season, it's just that some of you here are to stupid to notice.
Don't have a differing opinion in here mate, remember every is fantastic until it isn't.

No argument mate.
Raises a question, who was the last side to win a comp with an average hooker?
First of all, apologies for having to read my shocking grammar (bloody iPhone). Secondly, these guys are both better than our options but an argument could be made that Ballin (2011) or Dean Young (2010) are average nrl hookers.

Off stats de gois misses 2.8 tackles and makes 33 a game. On the ratio he is misses more tackles then most hookers in NRL. Isacc Luke was only worse I found
Liccha average 44 and missing 1.7 a game.

Have to factor in that De Gois is usually first to make contact so up against the bigger guys he'd probably fall off more than if he jogged up and was 2nd or 3rd in contact.

Bevan is 181cm so heights not an issue. Its just how many kgs he can add between now and march. Coote is 85kgs but shorter. Bevan needs to be around 88kgs to have a long NRL career. He looks to be bulking up in photos. But still needs 3-4 kgs before season starts.

Bev is currently 85kgs. He isn't much bigger than he was last year (84kgs) but is a lot leaner.

I don't know if they're looking to add more, I'd say they'll let him develop as he goes along. You only have to go back to the start of 2015 to see what happens when you try to put a lot of weight on in a short amount of time, he was a lot slower and didn't seem to be comfortable playing in the 20's. Once he dropped the weight and moved back to fullback he seemed much more comfortable and was more agile.

Well they will know more then I would. 85 is a little light but if ended up around 88 he becomes on par with your slaters etc...

This is sad news indeed.
Chad was one of my personal favourites when he played with us and he was a close friend to a number of my friends, having grown up in the area I now live in.
RIP Chad.

Has the number of interchanges been reduced to 6 for 2017? Haven't heard anything about it.

Regarding the argument that big forwards would be worse than small forwards when interchanges dropped to 8, the top 4 teams all had big forward packs except Cronulla having a smallish but skilful pack.

I thought I read that it was reduced to 6 for 2017, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

Maybe Arthur prefers a pack with mobility and speed to defend better, ahead of bigger guys who make more metres, but defend more poorly? I don't know.
