I think if he is found not guilty in court, the NRL must let him play. If he is found guilty, the NRL cannot justifiably punish him for any longer duration than a court imposed penalty.

I don't necessarily agree or disagree with it but of course they can and they will.

Not saying it's the same but in the news recently some CEO that was up for similar charges based on a Complaint was found not guilty it dragged on for over a year and it only went to court because the police did not do their job in checking the footage properly.
