I think he has the potential to be an elite player but he’s yet to prove himself defensively. You accomodate your best 17. We f**ked up. We should have found a spot for him pure and simple.

The same way you know he’s on at least $400k
That's because it's not what it means. My conviction is that certainty is usually stupid. I'm sure of it ffsYou should take being called a fence sitter very personally. It would mean you don’t have any convictions of your own and you’re just trying not to upset anyone/appease everyone which is demonstrably not true.
Forgive me for not trusting thesportingbase.com as much as you do. And while I think $400k is reasonable for 2023, I'd say the player option would definitely less, probably much less. The club option might've even been less ffs. He is 34 at the end of the year, with an injury history before he ever signed with us. I think you're overestimating the demand for him in late 2021.Hodgson is expected to earn around $400,000 each year for two years in Parramatta, which is a major shave from his $800k contract that he will earn for one more year in the nation’s capital.
Eels Lock In Hooker Succession Plan With Hodgson Signing
Parramatta has locked in their post-Reed Mahoney succession plan, signing up the veteran Raiders hooker from the 2023 season.thesportingbase.com
You still think he is on less than that? Stop being a f**king clown.
He was very ordinary for us last year, mostly around his work rate. But our reserve grade was fairly strong and he was just outplayed by better contributors. Even this year he was unremarkable in his first two games in reserve grade (in the halves). Then against Blacktown he played hooker and made 51 tackles without a miss, and set up a try. He must've had a big off season.Hands seem to have done really well, exceeded all expectations. Must be honest didnt really see him as an NRL player coming thru our systems but he seems to have done really well for you guys.
But I have given you a source and at least something. I don't pluck these figures out of thin air. I don't think they do either. You, however have given me nothing but an alternative to a view like you always do.Forgive me for not trusting thesportingbase.com as much as you do. It's up there with that mad breakout year he had for the Panthers back in the day. He was spoken about as a future Origin player.Cartwright playing the best and most consistent footy of his career
I do. Or most likely one source plucks the number and then everyone else reports it from a ‘reliable source’. Enough people repeat the made up figure and it’s suddenly a fact.I don't think they do either.

I remember when Rheed said he loved Parra and told some insiders he was staying put....
Fingers crossed? At just lost a hooker from the top 30 ffs.
They showed this year hey? That might explain why they played so much first grade this year ffs. But we are talking about last year, and none of them outperformed Arthur last year. You merkins weren’t exactly demanding the selection of Brendan f**king Hands based on last year’s form.
Because you need more than one hooker in your squad. And if you think Hodgson isn’t good enough for first grade you’re going to LOVE a bunch of Flegg players getting smashed in reserve grade.
Oh and we play week in week out at full strength. Name a season where we used the same 17 players for every game?Greig didn’t get close to his potential in a hurry, why would we expect any of the new signings to do so? At full strength none of them are guaranteed a spot in our 17:
14. Hands
15. Matterson
16. Ofahengaue
17. Some merkin who might get 20 minutes

Jacob Arthur is not a reliable back up for an nrl team.He was good against us (a shit team) but otherwise he’s been poor. He is very young though. He’ll improve, but is probably too young to be a reliable backup for the NRL team, despite his running game.
