I like Jake, but he's not ready for regular First Grade.

Moving him to a club where the spotlight would be less intense was a smart move.

And for what it's worth, I thank the kid for his time with us - even though he struggled a bit, given the mountain of negative energy directed near him, he always gave 100%.

He's a good kid. I wish him all the best, sincerely.

But I (and others) did call for Hands ahead of Arthur.

Well you were wrong. Arthur played well in reserve grade and earned his position in first grade. Hands did neither. Penrith never even gave him a run in fist grade when they were shit ffs

Flanagan is the only one I can see possibly surviving past this season if he continues to reinvent himself as a hooker. The others have as much chance as I do playing over 100 NRL games.

I think Jake will need to beef up, and reinvent himself as a ball-playing lock.

He has skills, and vision, but his movement is slow.

We need Hodgos experience and decision making. And remember that one charge down??? It was amazing and more than enough reason to pick him over a bloke who has won his last 3 games as starting dummy half.

Penisini is a key to our chances as well. He has been excellent over the last month but is that just due to us playing spud teams? Will he continue to improve and be a difference maker against the good teams?
