Why does it matter where the money comes from?

Because you need more than one hooker in your squad. And if you think Hodgson isn’t good enough for first grade you’re going to LOVE a bunch of Flegg players getting smashed in reserve grade.

He was good against us (a shit team) but otherwise he’s been poor. He is very young though. He’ll improve, but is probably too young to be a reliable backup for the NRL team, despite his running game.

Exactly and last year, what we budgeted for them was probably less. We probably didn't think about keeping emu or only a small upgrade. However,he's form suggests now he's a solid bench player.

We signed Murchie, doorie, jirrah thinking that they will kick on with ba's magic and probably didn't budget much for carty as we also didn't expect his form to be that good. But then we signed davey to use up more $$

So the money we gave hodgo could've been used better

Greig didn’t get close to his potential in a hurry, why would we expect any of the new signings to do so? At full strength none of them are guaranteed a spot in our 17:

And you know this how? Because it suits your argument? Ben Hunt has been offered about $1m and he's in his mid 30's. How much you reckon Cameron Smith was on? Wasn't Hodgson rated only second to Smith before he did his knee? Did you think that he would regress so far? I didn't . Neither did Parra which is why they overpaid for him. And he is shit because the stats that you rely on so much indicate that he is shit now.

That's the evidence and we play better with a rookie like Hands. That's more evidence but you just try and keep telling me otherwise.
