Oh I don't disagree there (with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight).

Only if you don't know or see the bleeding obvious and can't make an astute call on the odds of him coming back well after all his injuries and his form just before his last ACL injury.

There were quite a few of us that didn't need 20/20 hindsight to know that it was a very bad and reactive signing and stated so in no uncertain terms. You history changers are so funny. But we do remember and you can't gaslight all of us.

The guy was a joke signing form the moment we listened to that Parra hating merkin Ennis. There were a handful of available DH's at the time that almost any of them would have been a better option. All I can say is thank Christ that Hands ended up stepping up and is ready for NRL and is such a fit merkin that he has found his feet relatively so quickly. Otherwise our ball distribution and even ruck defense would have brought this team totally unstuck.

Lets all just prey that nothing happens to him otherwise I don't think there is anyone else even close enough ready at the club that could do as good a job. The backup DH oldman Hodgo is such a liability in defense, imagine if he had to stick it out for an entire 80 mins? Besides he is out injured now for God knows how long and thus we just have one DH at the club now for the foreseeable future.

Lets hope that Hodgo does come back at some stage this season, just as cover for Hands if something were to happen to the kid. Otherwise I hope that during the offseason Hodgo just realises he can't go on any longer and decides to medically make himself unfit. That way we can maybe recruit a genuine NRL ready understudy DH for Hands if he is ever out of the squad for whatever reason.

I’d say he’s not as good as they were anticipating before his injury, but he’s no older than they were anticipating, and already had an injury history. I’m sure we took all this into account when negotiating price. I’d say the mutual option was to cover us (and him) in the event of him hurting himself.

What does any of that even mean jibberer?

Typical Pou, back to the wall exposed as a trolling wanker, so may as well pull out you d*ck and start masturbating.

Simply that he was signed in good form and uninjured, but with an injury history. So he had proven his ability to come back from injury, which is what he did with us. His first game against Melbourne was very good. He was also everywhere in his 50+ minutes against Souths. Looks like the neck injury became too much in the Cowboys game, but he has come back before and you’d be mad to write him off again.

His form was good.

It was crap. He was taking way to many dummy half runs and wrong options and stifling their attack. Sure there was the odd good highlight, but overall he was a player way down on what he was before and the Raiders obviously knew that so let him go without any fuss. I mean none of the DH's they have now can hold a candle to the player he once was and none of them are hardly anywhere need the top echelon of DH's in the NRL.

He was a spent force and and a severely injured one at that and our football department and you expected him to come back playing like a quality NRL DH? You know someone that doesn't miss to many tackles, has decent speed and lateral movement. Can go the full eighty without being to much of a liability. Remember we weren't sure if we had anyone else ready and at NRL standard at the time. Not throw at least 5 forward passes a game and on many occasions terrible balls to team mates that make him look like a front rower bending for the ball and just throwing it and hoping for the best?

I don't know what you think you saw, but pure critical thinking would have told you that this was never going to work out well and that we were basically giving and old warhorse his final retirement package.

All I and some other on here know is that we are just so grateful that it hasn't so far damaged our season enough to the point that we can't make the eight. But if we had signed a better DH, maybe our start would have been better. I mean imagine if we had signed JMK who some here suggested at the time, it would have made so much more sense. His ability to put you on the front foot and quality passing game or runs from dummy half open up defense. Something we still don't do enough of. Maybe if we had someone like him at 9, it might have been just enough to have won a game or two at the start of the season by 2 points or so instead of losing them by as much.

Don't underestimate the poor form of our dummy half at the start of the season and his poor defense or lack of fluency that he was a major contributor of. If we had a better DH maybe things could have gone our way in those tight matches, but that is history now and we will never definitively know.

But to suggest we bought a DH in good form? Well just keep masturbating mate. It seems that is your good form.
