I'm having a look at his stats. Not very impressive, but I'm hoping he would be good defensively at least.
He's played 45 games of FG and only made 6 line breaks his whole career. You'd hope for more than that from a centre. In comparison, Penisini has made 13 just this year.

His average metres per game is pretty good though at 128m.

To his credit, he is only 22 and has played almost 50 NRL games in his 3 seasons to date. A genuine fringe first grader.

If we were to pick him up, I'd be hoping that the coaching staff would be looking to transform him into a second rower in the off-season. He's a big boy, he'd have to be over 100kgs already, runs decent lines and plays a physical kind of game.

We don't need more forwards, we need outside backs... if we think he's good enough to play centre now, I'd say that'll be the plan for him next year too...

Totally agree we need outside backs.

If Schoupp is the only one available for this year, then sure, better than Waqa. But is he the answer longer term?

He lacks real speed and doesn't move very well laterally, other then that he is a top buy.

If you like plodders that can occasionally play a little better from time to time he's your man. Pou will be very happy.

When he first came on the scene I thought he could be a very good player, but the more I watched him the less I liked him.

He is the backs version of Tepai Moeroa, he has most of the attributes but delivers little.

Who knows, Potato Head may get the best out of him. But I'm not holding my breath.

Well at the moment we are kinda desperate. We need a solid performer who won't break the bank. If Schoup fits that bill then I'm all for it.

I never thought I would miss Opacic, but this is where we are now.
