I think a lot has to do with the backs not doing enough work. Watch what Newcastle and Penrith are doing. The backs are all making big yards and keeping the forwards fresh and running less meters.
Our backs don't do enough work and just aren't strong enough runners of the ball to take many hit ups.

Looks like he is only committed until 2024 even though he is contracted until the end of 2025. He will be back. He can say all the right stuff but he’s miserable there and I can see him returning in 2025.

@Poupou Escobar which of our backrowers are off contract end of 2024? I know nothing but I reckon it will be Lane’s last year with us in 2024 which will leave a space for Ice to return.

In theory close to $700k

In practice - it depends how all the other puzzle pieces have fit together and whether we needed to offload them.
That would seem doubtful, some whispers suggest we had some room anyway, so it might mean we could make a significant splash.
But given nobody is available, we'll probably keep the top 30 spots open, roll into next year with space, and then sign 3 plodders for overs.

Just saying that he's got X-factor and if it's only $700k then that's ground floor cash.
