I don’t hate the bloke I just don’t think he should be coach anymore, he’s had 10 bloody years and the players are still making the same basic mistakes. Our edge defence is still laughable and he still can’t rotate a bench to save his life. Well who knows maybe he will fix all this in year 11?? I’m sure other coaches would have loved the go Bea has had and with the cattle he has had the last 4 seasons.
Absolutely, how can these morons keep defending 10 years of f**k all of nothin, astonishing

We did make the GF last year that was a pretty good ride.. Even if we didnt have a chance in the GF due to some ordinary tactics & Panfers just being too good.

The only reason I would want Baldy replaced right now is if we had a superstar come in especially with all the young talent coming in. I don't want that blown up if we get a shit coach and the youngsters just lose their path.

It might not happen and a new coach could be the catalyst..

Making a GF should not be good enough for a club like Parra, and how embarrassing was that performance, we should be making and winning GF’s every 7 to 8 years and winning on occasion, we make 1 GF in 12 years, and jizz is still flying all over the joint, he needs to go , it’s not fkn rocket science, I’m surprised with all the stat men on here, they still haven’t worked it out?”

All that young talent next year will most like Lou be guided by Nathan Cayless next year. He will wipe out any shred of skill they have and turn them into a cross between Rankin and Jake Arthur. They are in good hands.

That's where I wish we had a better cup coach but who knows maybe Cayless will surprise us all especially with Rankin the Flegg coach next year..

I enjoyed the ride last year was great to be in the GF was shit not winning and even shitter not making the 8 this year...

You are right we should have been making the GF and winning more by now.

I think the Panthers timing was great with their juniors coming through and covid ruining other clubs development. I think Pou posted we are spending more on Juniors/football club and what not this year than the previous years which should hopefully get us on the right track.

Unfortunately we weren’t even competitive, other than the first 15 minutes

Blayke Brailey who is a very good DH was super skinny when he first came on the scene. Has a good footy brain and has continued to bulk up. Seen him bowled over many times in his first few years but courageous and tough and the more he bulks up the more confident he will get.
Do any of the good judges think it could be similar for MArthur?

He is listed at 180cm. I wouldn't really think of that being small for a DH. Skinny is generally easy to fix and within a couple of years with the right program for the individual it can be fixed. He has a 92.3 tackle efficiency rate which makes him one of the better defenders for that position.

Skinny we can deal with, midget is another whole kettle of fish and in the lap of the footy Gods.

I would still go after Phoenix. I think he is gonna just keep getting better(already getting into the elite class) and the bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush.

I don't think we had the choice to keep everyone. It's not like the club didn't know how good Papali'i, Mahoney and Niukore are. Even Kaufusi played 49 games for us over '21-'22. They were all top 17 mainstays and were in demand from other clubs for a reason. I doubt our club thought they would be easy to replace. We just knew we had a bunch of players off contract and had to prioritise which ones deserved the big money. Honestly, I think we made the right choices. Keeping everyone wasn't an option. Not for us and not for other strong clubs.

Hopgood was an inspired signing though, and unlike Papali'i, didn't want to wait to test the market in November.

Well they didn't know how bad Hodgson was. But other then you and a couple of other dingbats, we all did.

Stick that into your plug hole and shut it.

Troll!

I would say we should be making GF's on average every 5 years or less even and winning more then we lose. Anything less then that in a weak 17 team comp is in my mind a failure.

Look at the Panthers, the only team that got their sh*t together in the last 5 years and the comp being so weak they are looking at a threepeat. It wouldn't take all that much in this comp now if you have your sh*t together and a nursery that keeps on producing, which is the key.
