It depends on the makeup of your squad.

Except we don't make the same number of offloads every game and we don't always make more offloads in a game than the opposition. We are the offloads leaders over 24 games, not in every single match. We offload according to match conditions, not because it's our only attacking option. But what we do lack is tackle breakers that make attacking footy look easy.

Thanks scoop.

What we really lack is a well drilled and connected defensive team that then can attack well off the back of that. Defense wins games not attack.

I would love to see those 2 in a race. I'd be surprised if Saab is actually quicker (which is a surprising thing to say given that Saab is generally accepted as the quickest in the NRL)

Koula ran a 10.58 100m - so if Saab is quicker, might be worth switching him over to the Olympic squad

I saw a quote from 2 or 3 years ago saying that Saab is the quickest at the club and that Koula is second quickest in their drills behind Saab. I may have even posted the article at the time. Koula had yet to make his NRL debut, he was still only 18-19 at the time.

I’d say thanks scoop but what you’re saying isn’t obvious so much as wrong. Both elements are required to win games and the best teams are god at both.

I wonder when they do sprints, is Koula and Saab at the 100m line and JA is still at the 10m line

2 or 3 years ago? I don’t think ja was there then 🤣

Thanks scoop, but defense is paramount and trumps attack almost every time.
Thanks scoop, but both of these things are signs of quality.

It's not like teams get to choose between them once their team is assembled. And the highest paid players in the game make an outsized contribution in attack, not defence. Teams target hookers and halves in the defensive line because they are usually the weak point, but still teams rarely replace them with superior edge and middle defenders who don't have the skills for the spine. And most fullbacks defend at the back to keep them out of the defensive line. Look at Ponga.

We should be leading the comp in defense. The attack usually comes off the back of that. Very few teams in history have ever won a GF with their defense being ordinary, but relied mainly on an attack that was great.

Oh and if you think that being the best offloading team in the comp means you actually are the best offense team even though statistically you might be, shows how little you understand the game. Even when the Tigers won the comp on the back of their attack as opposed to defense, it was more the brilliance of the players with ball in hand and their connectivity and some very astute playmakers in Prince and Farah guiding them around then relying on offloads that the better teams will usually shut down. Offloads should be a great supplement to your arsenal in attack, not your main weapon. What happens if the offloads don't stick, what do you do then? Oh yeah we don't have a plan B as we have seen so many freakin times.

Be carefull Ram. He may block you if argue with him to much.
