What happened to the Prime Ministers team that usually gets announced at the end of the regular season?

I haven't taken much notice in the last few years as we are in the finals but would like to see our players get a mention.

I am sure Albo would love to pick a PMs team atm.

But why have our players risk injury for a pointless game.

Matto may put his hand up if cash is involved.

But realistically RCG is the only player i can see possibly getting picked for the Kangaroos in the end of season tests.

Thanks scoop, but both of these things are signs of quality.

It's not like teams get to choose between them once their team is assembled. And the highest paid players in the game make an outsized contribution in attack, not defence. Teams target hookers and halves in the defensive line because they are usually the weak point, but still teams rarely replace them with superior edge and middle defenders who don't have the skills for the spine. And most fullbacks defend at the back to keep them out of the defensive line. Look at Ponga.

I'm not too sure - but I'd guess about 180cm, or so.

OK well if he is that which is around 5' 11'' in the old measurement that isn't bad at all. He will just need time to fill out. They should be working hard on that at the club right now, which I'm sure they are. But he would be at best still at least 3 years away from being an NRL player and then who knows how long to get adjusted and if he will make it?

But truisms have been around forever for a reason, no matter how tired and bored you are of them. Maybe that's why our team never get any better defensively, they too are just like you, bored of and ignore truisms?

RCG is our only incumbent, and was only selected for one Origin game (dead rubber) this year. When the team finishes a plodding 10th or 11th, any potential players will likely be overlooked for those who went deeper into the pressure games that are finals.

I hope we get no one selected and all the boys have a full and proper off season and training preparedness for the 2024 season. This upcoming season should be the last best season for some of our ageing roster. After 2024 we will need to start to rebuild a little I think.

I read on here 2025 will be when our gun juniors should be ready for FG so our premiership dynasty from 2024 to 2029 will contain a mix of old & new.
