And they should grade it based on location within sydney ... eastern suburbs, manly, cronulla, st george get 10% - shitholes like penrith get 5%

Surely if it was based on livng expenses for location alone Penrith would get 5%, Parra and Canterbury 10%, St George and Cronulla 15%, Souths and Tigers 20%, Manly 25% and Roosters 30%.

A lot of the Dragons players live in Wollongong. A lot (maybe even the majority) of their training is also in Wollongong.

Yep.

They were horribly run, even worse than what our club has been. Big dollar deals for players that have neither earned it or they were desperate to hold on to after attracting considerable deals from other clubs.

playing for the knights is like being a public servant once you get a start you've got a job for life no matter how good or bad you are

Stats portray real events that happened on the field. They're not just a mere guide. The guide is the context a skilled analyst uses when interpreting them. Didn't they teach you anything at mopping school?

Nah, they're just numbers. An elephant stands x metres tall, y metres wide and weighs x kilograms. Walks at approximately z kilometres per hour. Doesn't have very good LBA stats. Doesn't really tell you what an elephant is, does it?

It doesn't, no.

However, it does tell me that the elephant is either exceedingly tall, or weighs next to nothing...

I reckon a bloke like Gower would be great for the Knights and would struggle to get a game for us barring a terrible injury list
That is a really good call mate. I think Gower would be an outstanding buy for the Knights. Based on their needs he could probably get a 2year deal for 300k a year or the like. I doubt he is on much at Parra.

Does anyone have any concerns with our 6,7 next year? Just been discussing it with a mate. I love Guthbus, I really hope it works out.

I have concerns. Gutherson is an extremely good centre and a fill-in five-eight (IMO). Norman seems to play best when he adopts what I would call more of a five-eight role. Some people on here would say that doesn't exist anymore, but I know what I mean (if you didn't follow the game in the era of more specialist five-eights, you really wouldn't know, would you). Anyway, I would far prefer us to have another half in the vein of Hodgkinson, Townsend, Adam Reynolds, etc to allow Norman to be more ad-lib and creative. My big reservation, then, is that Norman will become bogged down with the general running and manoeuvring of the side on the field which will detract from his game. Someone like Robson would be good, but he's too slow these days and his kicking game was never quite consistent enough.

Exactly.
