I may be bias but my best mate started up his own business from nothing last year creating his own style & brand of analog watches. Custom designed by himself.

And it definitely feels like back in vogue.

His main job was online marketing so he has been able to set himself up by being able to make sales in Europe and North America as well.

I wear one of the watches everyday to work now it feels and looks great.

I know it's easy to blame the RRC but i wonder if there is an individual who initially made the recommendation to sign him..?

It it was recruitment manager, he should be sacked..

if it was the GM, he should be sacked..

if it was the head coach he should be sacked..

It it was his Player Manager than he should be running a Nigerian scam unit..

I reckon there is always a component of selecting one or two project players. You need to in order to balance your squad and you just hope they come good.

Unfortunately not all of them do and to be honest, has Moimosea really cost us anything?
We managed to debut Hands and Moretti from outside the top 30 squad last season and we made a decision on Moimosea's future at the club pretty early on. Win some/lose some - personally I don't get the hangup everyone on here has about him.

In my career, I have hired over 50 people and sometimes, you just get it wrong and you move on - you don't get hung, drawn and quartered like some on here would have happen for every recruitment that didn't work. Classic case of over-reaction if you ask me.

I think you're missing the point but of a nice watch. Ultimately it is there to show the time but it's more a dress style. An accessory. Smart watches to me are gimmicky. What can they do a phone can't?

What did I say would happen? That he would remain top 30 quality? Read between the lines. I mean he will most likely remain top 30 quality. Just like younger players will most likely improve and older players will probably decline.

You said you didn’t think there was an assumption young players will get worse, after I said they said COULD get worse then you, and have again here, claimed by “will” you were talking in likelihoods. So it’s semantics to what I said originally.

Waqa Blake declined and he is only 28. It’s unexpected and so doesn’t mean a long contract was a bad idea. He was 24 when he signed. The balance of probability was that he would still be at his peak when he came off contract, not fall off a cliff in the final year.

Yes he got worse because his weaknesses were exposed and he couldn’t fix those weaknesses. Age had nothing to do with it beyond the available time he has left to improve. Moimosea has a bit more time but right at this moment he has to actually achieve that improvement to regain his claim as top 30 quality. The balance of probability is he won’t. If he does, great.

He was always ahead of him.

He wasn’t at the club when Moimosea was in top 30. When he did get here, he pushed Moimosea further down the list.

I disagree there is a new standard. The standard is set by the top players in the game, who the worst players in the top 30 might need to face on the field. ‘Top 30’ standard isn’t set by the worst players in the top 30. Otherwise they would all meet it, by virtue of circular logic.

There’s definitely a new standard for what is considered top 30 quality if a better player is brought into that top 30. In fact what is considered top 30 quality is dictated by the worst players. It’s not a comparison of all the players in the top 30, it’s a comparison of those players to those that aren’t currently in the top 30.

I’m sure you’re aware we are talking past each other at this point and I suspect you’ve done it deliberately for laughs. Well played.

I haven’t done this for laughs at all. You want to claim Moimosea is top 30 quality based on him being contracted and at his age there’s no way he’ll get worse. That’s just got no basis at all.

I feel they have finally worked out that he isn't an eighty minute hooker and need to have options to fill the utility role. Similar reason to why the club weren't prepared to meet the exorbitant dollars that were on offer when he was looking to re-sign. Obviously a good player but struggles when he is fatigued and as a spot player in defense that is even more obvious in a Bulldogs side that had very few solid workers in their forward pack last year.

There must still be a few players being shopped around by the Dogs as they have released six players and have nine new signings alongside a number of players who have moved into the Top 30. Gus will be earning his money that is for certain.
