You don't think he makes decisions on the field? I'd say that's exactly why he's in the team.
What passing left or right???

His attack is easily the worst in the comp. And with an inexperienced spine we need something more than what he offers to trouble the top teams IMO.

Where else do you expect him to f**ken pass it? Forwards?

If you mean his running game then I agree with you. But his job isn't to run the ball, it's to pass it to the blokes who run the ball.

With our inexperienced spine you'd rather a less experienced dummy half calling the shots?

Yeah I'm sure Storm and Canberra fans think this........

De Gois offers nothing but a pass of course he shouldn't have many errors.
Seriously barring those 2, Smith and Hodgson, which other hooker would you want? Luke and maybe Friend? Farah is poison. Granville is a good runner but the rest of his game is likely boosted by Thurston telling him what to do. And does Peats really offer his dollar value more than De Gois? But even if you say yes to chasing any of those (and having to rebalance your squad based on that) there's still half the f**king league of hookers that you cannot definitively say would be better than IDG.

BTW a league of hookers is what Gurnie has for morning tea

So his decision making consists of passing left or right and not forwards??? Amazing how he can keep his mistake rate so low with all that on his plate. So a dummy halves job is not to run the ball??? Not engage the markets and just tackle??? Time to get back Matt Keating.......

Dummy half us the clubs biggest weakness, I wouldn't have a huge problem with IDG if our back ups were promising or capable of stepping up and doing the job if IDG's form tapers off. But Kaysa and King are both made of glass and both have huge weaknesses in their game. If they didn't IDG wouldn't have been retained.

I called for us to offer wallace a deal prior to Penrith re-signing. Would of been perfect. Cheap and can cover a few spots. And can kick!!! Also has no running game thou. Id prefer him then Peats.

Jake friend is a great hooker.
Being able to run keeps the markers honest. Draws penatlies and scares a defense when right on the line.
De gois is hardly our problem thou. We are probably getting great value out of him. Peats would of cost a bomb and is far from elite.

None. You cant have a perfect 1-17 but i dont see anyone that is on overs bar perhaps jennings. So when your cap and roster is under control you can make tweaks to your squad if need be. Better then having a Watmough, foran, sandow, lussick weaking the rest of the squad by demanding overs.

Easily, our pack is very strong and we have plenty of depth in the backs. Norman is quality and I think Guth will do a more then capable job. Bevo may be a risk but he can't offer any less than Gordon did. But pointing out that none of our dummy half options are nothing more than very average upsets people. Fancy having an opinion on an Internet forum.........

I wont start a new thread - My power rankings after looking at squads -
1 Cowboys
2 NZ
3 Canberra
4 Penrith
5 Storm
6 Roosters
7 Sharks
8 Parra
9 Souths
10 Brisbane
11 Titans
12 Tigers
13 Manly
14 Dogs
15 Dragons
16 Knights

I'm not sure about New Zealand's ranking. Latrelle Mitchell is yet to convert his hype into week in, week out performances; and Keiran Foran - who knows when he'll be clear to play his first game, where his head is at, and how long he can remain focussed for. A real gamble in my opinion. Oh, well - at least they have a winning coach. :p

Terepo has played 74 games over four seasons. He is 25 years old, married, with kids. He is old enough and experienced enough to know better.

I don't think the number of games he's played is relevant. But he is a bit older than I thought. Okay, f**k his eyes!

Latrell was shit for the warriors last year. He was better for the roosters though but still hasn't lived up to the hype yet.

As has been said before by others, we won't really know where our weaknesses lie until at least half-way through the season. There are so many unanswered questions at this stage. Will Radradra be fee to play? Kenny Edwards? Terepo? How will Bevan French go at fullback week in, week out? How will Gutherson go at five-eight week in, week out? We won't be winning the comp this year, but if we find the answers to those questions we could maybe come close next year. I see this year, not as a re-building year, but as a bit of a trial and error year. I don't think there's a lot of rebuilding to do; but maybe reshuffling of positions and maybe end up buying a hooker and/or five eight for next year. But we don't know yet and we won't know for a little while. It's actually shaping as one of the most interesting seasons I can remember.

Kosjaysn? As in the bloke who has double as many NRL Premiership Rings as anyone else in our NRL squad??

Does that make him a good player? A quality starting hooker? Or does it just mean he was lucky enough to be a squad player in a side with Coote, Scott Tamou, Granville, Thurston, Morgan etc? He's rubbish, premiership ring (singular) or not.

WTF is wrong with his service? You do realise every other dummy half throws bad passes from time to time. These blokes pass the ball over a hundred times a match. Every club's fans think their dummy half offers the worst service. De Gois has fewer errors than most. Also has more experience.

It's slow, for starters. Just about the slowest in the game. I didn't say he made a lot of errors so that's entirely irrelevant. His service is also very predictable. He doesn't run into acting half and use all his experience to get a play going or create anything, he plods over and shovels it to whoever is one off the ruck. He's a solid player, but definitely one of out weakest links and in the modern game your hooker can't be a weak link.

Is there a single word, phrase or sentence in my post that made you think I thought he played for anyone other than the roosters last season? But I agree with you, he's not yet (may never be) as good as the media says he is.
