Matagi is, at best, 4th choice prop. 5th if you include Pritchard as a prop (I consider him more of a backrower who can play prop). He might improve in that ranking but he won't start the season starting in FG and I doubt we'll see him on the bench which will probably be KPritch, FPritch, Kenny and Terepo

Mannah
De Plod
Brown
Ma'u
Moeroa/Edwards (one on the bench, one starting)
Scott

Should be he starting pack for mine

Bit light......

Brown id rate higher as a player. But I feel Matagi starts. I don't think coming off the bench means your not as high quality. You play same mins.Matagi gives size-Balls skills and punch. If you wanted your best guys starting brown moves to lock.

I wouldnt be at all surprised to see Matagi start .... that doesnt make him one of our 2 best middle forwards, just think he will play the battering ram role to start (most) games

Club doesn't have to sack him unless want him gone. For what reason so another team picks him up on cheap? Not like James Roberts on his 2nd no hang on souths sacked him on his 2nd I mean 3rd oh hang on Penrith sacked him on his 3rd no 4th chance and then been good ever since oh hang on he has had 2 warnings at Brisbane or 3? I need a calculator. Lets call it 7-10th warning.

Give him a 2 game ban and a warning.

The DUI wouldn't warrant sacking, but lying to the club about it (in this case not telling them is as bad lying) probably is when combined. Especially when you consider he would have had to tell the club he was going over the NZ this week, but obviously lied about what it was for.

Think Peni will soon be feeling the Bern...

Parramatta National Rugby League Club (PNRL) have been made aware that Peni Terepo today pleaded guilty and was convicted in Auckland District Court for careless driving and refusing to give a blood alcohol test.

PNRL Club officials were only today made aware of the matter via media reports in New Zealand and were not advised of the incident by Peni.

Parramatta Eels Chief Executive, Bernie Gurr, has made the following comments:

“The Club is extremely disappointed with Peni’s behaviour and we regard what’s taken place as extremely serious."

“Upon learning of Peni’s conviction, we have immediately alerted the NRL Integrity Unity this morning and emphasised that no Club official was aware of this incident."

“Peni has been stood down from all official club duties effective immediately and will also not be considered for selection in our Auckland Nines squad."

“We will be making no further comment until we speak with Peni early next week and receive his comments."

Seems the Penis Torpedo may have fired his last blank.

I think he'll get a bollocking from BA and Bernie. He was pulled from the Nines squad which has stated he loves followed by first warning and told you keep his head down and work his tail off.
Available round 1.

They won't sack him unless the NRL indicate that he's going to cop a long suspension. He deserves quite a suspension to be honest. Refusing the blood test (after stacking his car) .doesn't exactly make it look like a 'low range' offense. I'd have no sympathy for him if they did rub him out. But, whatever Liam Knight copped would seem fair in a broader sense.

No dickheads policy... Peni should be banished to Wenty/contract docked for not being honest with the club. On his last chance one would hope too. Plenty more players can replace the likes of him.

Well, fair chance he's under-rated by you.

He'll be probably the fourth worst starting hooker in the NRL this coming season as it stands. He's a better player than Lichaa, McInnes, and Kostyasathingamy. Very solid, reliable defender but offers very little in attack and ordinary service. I reckon that's a pretty fair assessment?

I agree. How old would he be? 22? 23? I did worse than that at his age. I think a couple of games ban and a stern warning should be sufficient from our club. The law will deal with the other aspects of this incident. And this NRL 'integrity unit' makes me laugh, too. What integrity has the NRL got that it can demand integrity from its players?

It's probably fairer than calling him De Plod. But I think he's a bit better than your assessment. I'd rank about in the middle of NRL hookers. Out of 16 hookers, you rank him about 13th. I rank him about 9th or 10th.

Really? Nathan Brown will have a lot to say about that I reckon....Matagi will start, but for Wenty.
No I'll say you're dead wrong there Bazal. Will either start with Mannah or be on the bench. Imo Mannah, Matagi and probably King will be starting front row with Fritchard, KE (court case pending), Vave & Brown on bench. If KE unavailable maybe Kelepi in his place.

No as a Brisbane player, would be battling to make the papers up here if, even if he went mad and shot a few people. Then NRL integrity unit would give him another chance, his 30th, and Brisbane would reduce his pay to $85k.
