I said 5th but make a prelim in the predictions thread.

Less external expectation and media expectation is generally when we're at our best.

Take out the 20+ games missed through just pure stupidity of suspensions that were all avoidable from Matto not taking a fine, Dylan Brown not keeping his hands down in a double bay nightclub to RCG slipping knees into a back of a bloke. Like those 3 incidents alone cost us 14 weeks. Throw in other suspensions it shouldn't happen again.

After the drop off last year the likes of the Broncos, Warriors, Knights who had successful seasons will get there tyres pumped up. A few of them benefited from soft draws last year.

I think we will sneak under the radar.

Moses is at his peak, Drown as long as he out there will continue to get better just need the forwards to hold there own in the middle.
And to fix their defence out wide, control the ruck much better and quick ptb's. So the same problems we've had for years - easy fix.

Tigers have plenty of money in the cap for Luai. he would be getting effectively the same money we were paying Brooks. Ice is staying at the Tigers unless we can use him in a swap for AFB.

I agree with ram, i prefer to keep matto. The only thing is more for the future as our pack is aging, Ice is still young

Matterson to me is a perfect lock who can play 65mins. I think he is a better player then Hopgood overall but BA prefers Hopgood.I don't like Matterson out wide cause I prefer edge forwards to be able to bust tackles and break the line.
Bryce and Lane are my preference here.

Papali'i issue is defense and mobility. Best in the middle but we have that area covered. I am expecting Grieg to really come on this season along with Morretti plus we have the young prop Tuavati who will be in the NRL come 2025.

Ideally back then we kept ice as a middle with rcg and not resign jnr. Though he was going real good that year

Ice was less than $500k right?

Then as rcg goes we have a starting pack of ice and emu up front.

So on Parra's instagram they announced Sivo and his partner welcomed a baby boy.

Anyone seen the name

Samisoni Sivo.

That's a future First grader name right there.

The commentators will be having there tongues twisted in 20 years calling that.

He is only a reserve grade winger. Is he worth a top 30 spot? Is he better then what we have?

Probably not but he had more chance at first grade at the Raiders or Eels.

I also think we are looking at our Juniors now so if we signed anyone else it would block thier pathway to first grade..

The Tigers will have to shed a few players if they gain Luai’s services for 2025.

I don't think they will be shedding the one or two quality backs we need. I would take Klemmer at the right price though if he were to become available. He is a guaranteed quality improvement for our front row rotation and with Emu also that would make for some real fresh and nasty pack domination that would be unrelenting.

I know many would say that we don't need him but I would say they are mistaken. Junior at his best is elite, but what if his best is behind him and he can only produce 30 min spells of real quality. Klemmer is the insurance and even if Junior regains is mojo that would only make us even more dominating and no other pack in the NRL would be able to withstand the 80 mins barrage up front that these four would bring tag teaming in each game and we would have the luxury of starting different ones for different games that best suits our needs and game tactics. Hahaha...tactics? Potato Head only has one tactic, but this would actually be what he has always wanted but never quite understood how to get or implement.

Now that is the way I would play a power game. Four front rowers of beastly ability and always fresh and ready to rumble. The rest of the forwards like Matto, Lane and Cartwright would thrive with the space they find out wide and add Hopgood and his tireless work and offloads and you can see where it's going.

Our weakness out wide then becomes less problematic and they too will benefit from the oppositions tiring and fatigue trying to contain the beasts up front. Our dummy half no matter who it is will also find more opportunities to play trick shots with the Gorilla's or Gutho in support or even run himself. Now wouldn't that be novel.

I'll tell you who is surplus to requirements...Offa. If we got someone like Klemmer, I would not be against offering him up to whoever wants or needs him.

Front rowers win big games. Period...and we are this close. I can dream can't I?
