I don't think they will be shedding the one or two quality backs we need. I would take Klemmer at the right price though if he were to become available. He is a guaranteed quality improvement for our front row rotation and with Emu also that would make for some real fresh and nasty pack domination that would be unrelenting.

I know many would say that we don't need him but I would say they are mistaken. Junior at his best is elite, but what if his best is behind him and he can only produce 30 min spells of real quality. Klemmer is the insurance and even if Junior regains is mojo that would only make us even more dominating and no other pack in the NRL would be able to withstand the 80 mins barrage up front that these four would bring tag teaming in each game and we would have the luxury of starting different ones for different games that best suits our needs and game tactics. Hahaha...tactics? Potato Head only has one tactic, but this would actually be what he has always wanted but never quite understood how to get or implement.

Now that is the way I would play a power game. Four front rowers of beastly ability and always fresh and ready to rumble. The rest of the forwards like Matto and Lane would thrive with the space they find out wide and add Hopgood and his tireless work and offloads and you can see where it's going.

Our weakness out wide then becomes less problematic and they too will benefit from the oppositions tiring and fatigue trying to contain the beasts up front. Our dummy half no matter who it is will also find more opportunities to play trick shots with the Gorilla's or Gutho in support or even run himself. Now wouldn't that be novel.

I'll tell you who is surplus to requirements...Offa. If we got someone like Klemmer, I would not be against offering him up to whoever wants or needs him.

Front rowers win big games. Period...and we are this close. I can dream can't I?
I think Ice can play prop at a pinch, so can Matterson. Klemmer has had many opportunities to come to Parra but has rejected every overture.

He can stay at the Tigers or go to the UK Super League.

Klemmer is a cancer on the clubs culture similar to Matt Lodge but without the criminal baggage that comes with scumbag like Lodge.

Klemmer walked out on the Dogs with the shits despite being well paid,

Knights got sick of him he had falling out with the trainer. And didnt the knights miss him this year after he went the tigers. They had there best season in 10 years Leo Thompson showed he was more then capable of making an impact then what Klemmer did.

Fitller for all his faults cut Klemmer off out of Origin after he rocked up with a shit attitude as 18th Man once back in 2019 game 3. He got recalled into the team as Tariq Sims was eventually suspended but Klemmer was kicking stones all camp with shits that he was overlooked originally. So Fittler never picked him again after that match in 2019 for the attitude he brought to camp.

Found the article to that origin story here.

Neither of them can play like Klemmer can and would be fodder in the front row over an entire season of football.

I don't know why Klemmer has such an aversion to Parra since he was at one time one of our juniors that we overlooked and the Dogs snapped him up instead. Maybe that's why?

Anyway I would still talk to him and impress upon him that we are very close with this squad to have premiership glory and that he could be that missing piece that puts us in the premiership window and that he might actually get that ring too that he has always been dreaming of and what a way to do it with his junior club and a club that would be breaking the longest title drought in NRL history. It would be one hell of a way to end his NRL career and truly amazing highlight that he has never, ever experienced. A crowning glory if you will.

Surely there would be enough incentives and real motivation there for him to take the plunge and see what happens? It has way to many positives vs. going to freakin England...surely?

Is he available...does anyone know?

It doesn't do much for your reputation when a back to back spoon team who signed you to a 3/4 year deal to turn their fortunes around want to get rid of you after just 1 season.... I've never really thought he played to his price tag tbh. His best footy was probably when he was on his lowest salary... As his salary went up, his performance went steadily down IMO. Not terrible by any stretch, but not elite like his pay packet would indicate...

He is a sook not worth drama that comes with him.

Joffa will add more to team culture then what Klemmer would even if his output is slightly below klemmer's.

And who forgets the time he wouldnt shake Manu Mau's hand after they had a dustup at Fulltime at Commbank Stadium.

Manu Mau would have flogged his arse and he couldnt take it.

I don't think we need to sign forwards.
There seems to be a few quality juniors coming thru and I still think Grieg and Morretti can both step up this season in a big way. Both have the potential to be quality NRL players.
I wouldn't put a line thru Mataele yet either. A big off season could transform him. Same goes for Doorey.

Matterson to me is a perfect lock who can play 65mins. I think he is a better player then Hopgood overall but BA prefers Hopgood.I don't like Matterson out wide cause I prefer edge forwards to be able to bust tackles and break the line.
Bryce and Lane are my preference here.

Papali'i issue is defense and mobility. Best in the middle but we have that area covered. I am expecting Grieg to really come on this season along with Morretti plus we have the young prop Tuavati who will be in the NRL come 2025.
spot on - as always

Are players keen on being coached by the Parra coaches? Could be many reasons DB.
Strangely enough, the players seem more comfortable with the coaches than the posters on social media. We apparently have a committee system for R&R coupled with a very cautious and dogmatic HOF, the roster has looked vulnerable in the backs for 2/3 seasons and despite having some interest we appear to watch targeted players sign elsewhere.

Since the leaks have stopped, how do we (the Neville Nobody general public) know who the targeted players are (the ones that are signing elsewhere)?
