Looks like Connor Treacy heading to Bulldogs.

Player swap with Michael Gabrael. Sorry I don’t have the story. It’s behind a paywall.

More shuffling the deck chairs from the big man Gus.

Its not good for club culture or morale with the constant shuffling of players every season. Anyone who thinks otherwise are kidding themselves. They will be bottom 6 again next year i reckon. Crichton was bought on FB money but isn't a FB.

I still maintain Reed will be tapped on the shoulder before his contract is up in 2026 by Gus. Which would be pretty funny and karma in a way.

Gus will find a young gun dummy half on the market and take him to cafe or even a chinese restaurant to get photographed and offer him the world.

BA used Murchie as a middle when he was an edge player.

BA stuffed up not using Murchie to his strengths as a player which was hole running off a half.

He was dangerous at the warriors lurking off Johnson on the edge running through holes and space.

Not being a bash and barge front rower.
Backups play where they’re needed, not where it suits them. In all five games Murchie played for us there were better second rowers playing long minutes; Cartwright started in all five plus Doorey started three times with Matterson and Lane starting in the other two. There was no room for Murchie to start on the edge, plus he obviously wasn’t rated highly enough.

Gus sold him to sign with the Dogs on the basis of playing alongside his brother, didn’t last long under the mighty Beestinghead.
Gus sells the world and a massive dream like cars salesman & real estate agents.

Then at the drop of the hat will toss you to the gutter when he sees a new toy, thinks you are on too much money or surplus to requirements.

Did he help Penrith be what they are yep there were parts of it.

But the revolving door that was Penrith between 2014-2019 that Gus kept shipping players off and signing new ones gave them no stability despite being a talented side.

I don't think Penrith would have had a dynstay if Gus stayed there as GM. He would have kept shuffling and kept the instability in the playing ranks.

I just can't picture Jarome in a tigers jersey atm.

His Mt Druitt gangster vibe just does not blend in well with the inner west.

I think he will stay for unders at Penrith or go to the Dogs.

There is a smokescreen somewhere atm. The Tigers are the easy bait every player and his manager use to get a pay rise.
Too true unfortunately

You beat me to it. There is no way he was signed as a direct replacement for Ice.
Murchie and Doorey would have been in front of him from day 1.
I don’t think you remember the start of last season well enough. Jirah started the first trial at right edge whilst doorey was on the bench. He also started there for most of the pre season until right up to the trials. Once he lost his spot to doorey he still maintained a spot on the bench ahead of murchie. He was very clearly the desired replacement, he just worked out to be a terrible buy.

Or he started the trials because the coaching staff wanted to see what he had to offer. Doorey had twice as much FG experience.

But we can agree to surmise differently, given neither of us are on the coaching staff. 😉

Plenty picked it even before the trials.
