Haven't seen it but weidler interviews are hard to judge.

Bloke is a leech looking to make himself the centrepiece with dumb questions and get a story out of it.

I don't read much into the body language as Danny is cramping them for room anyway.

Freddy had to go pure and simple. Time was up.

Madge did win a comp at Souths no other coach has done for 50 years.
He can obviously coach. That said,
the disservice he did himself participating in Tales From Tiger Town and his termination from same should have finished him. His subsequent rebirth is Lazarus type stuff.

Didn’t he try and bring in a snake and a mouse to the dressing room at Souths to try and pump up his players?

If true, he’s a halfwit.

Well he may not have had a choice for the documentary. All coaches carry on like porkchops lets be honest.

Imagine if we had the audio & camera inside the box with Bellamy you would only hear the same 2 words F & C and see a shitload of spit.

Pascoe & Chairman Lee probably signed off on it before Madge had a chance to reject it.

Madge got whiteanted a lot at the Tigers.

There last 3 coaches Ivan, Sheens & Madge have 8 premierships as coach between them and they did do SFA with that mob.

One of our young players over a coffee told me that BA has calmed down significantly since he first got there. BA may have been influenced by Bellamy’s antics in the beginning but is now more relaxed however still quite intense.

The player however rates him highly as a mentor and a man. Despite our opinions on his tactics you cannot say BA has ever lost the dressing room which is why I think he is still a better overall coach than Maguire.

A mate I went to school with has had a bit to do with Parra and BA. He reckons BA has an incredible tolerance for stress.

He believes (not a parra fan either) if fans were able to get better insight as to how difficult it has been at Parra since his inception it would change a lot of opinions.

Whilst he has his faults I do believe he has been the best option for Parra across the past 10 years. Whether or not he is the best option in years to come I do not know.

Which makes his continual obsession with surrounding himself with absolute potato's all the more infuriating. Finally he signed up Barrett but i still wonder how much say he actually got in our attack. He looked bored shitless in the box sitting next to Bea most weeks.

Madge has won a comp and hasn't won a spoon he's light years ahead of Baldy.

I would agree with that. He is starting his HSC exam next year for coaching which is year 11.

Stories in the early days while half joking but it was that BA never smiled. Or you couldn't crack him for a smile. And was serious most of the time.

Brent Reid joked to him in the press conference after we beat the cowboys in 2022 prelim. You must be happy Brad your smiling and Gutho next to him started giggling.

He has definitely mellowed even with press conferences these days after losses. Doesn't seem as cranky maybe thats part of the frustration as well has he let some standards slip perhaps.

It’s a small world. Spoke to someone that is very close to Curtis Scott. He needs footy in his life and wants to join the Eels. That’s his preference.

Generally you are what your friends are. This person that you spoke to would you say he is a decent kind of fellow and has a moral character? If so what if anything does he say about Scott as far as what type of person is he? Did he just go down the wrong path with alcohol and or drugs and now has come out the other side or is he just a head case that still needs to sort his sh*t out?

Serious questions and hopefully you were cognizant enough at the time to ask them. If not cool, I get it sometimes we don't feel it is appropriate to ask or we just aren't plugged in at the time and lose the opportunity. It happens.

Well I guess if he was after an opportunity at the Broncos or Roosters like that maniac Lodge, the NRL would have caved. Can’t have the the powerful lobbyists denied.
Yes, he’s an idiot, but with strict controls, he would have a chance to redeem himself
I can't see his appeal, poor tackler at Faiders and not much of an attacker. Me thinks his best years are behind him. Why fill our top 30 with nuffies like him and Harpic? Prefer one of our juniors who would benefit by the experience.

He's done his job but i dont think he has it to take us to the next level. If he can get better assistants and trust that they can provide what he can't technically then it might work but hes gotta trust and irgabize the implementation if the changes.

I still think we have a window left of 2 years after that, I think we'll be back in rebuild

That's good to hear. I'm all for seeing how 2024 pans out. If we have a poor season you move on. Not suggesting we get a better coach but at some point you need to try something different.
If we have a great year then I'm all for keeping him for 2025
