Pritchard (and Arthur's persistence with him) have shown enough to make me think he has massive potential. To be honest I don't understand fans' obsession with King - "If he can improve his defence... blah blah blah..." You could say that about any player improving their weaknesses. Of course they will become better and rise up the pecking order. From what I've seen King has good size and speed for a hooker but not the workrate and aggression Arthur wants from a middle defender.

How the hooker plays in some other team's structure isn't how they need to play in ours.
not even going to bother pointing out your errors in the above. possibly more of your stupid comments to hook stupid people yeah?

My opinion is BA rates Kaysa and De gois is a safety net till Kaysa comes on and can play 80mins. I feel that he see King as a handy back up if need be as well but not a long term option.
I really cant see why the club would persist with Kaysa and feel they asked Peats to go as was not bothered to lose him thinking Kaysa would take his spot soon. You wouldnt let a spine player go who you desperately wanted to keep.

Well with the inexperience in our spine it's probably a good thing we have De Gois in there hey?
We have enough experience in our team spread out across the park. I don't think they necessarily have to be in the spine. Norman is in the leadership group anyway and has played in the spine all of his career so that would be sufficient.

What we need is ability.

More ability is always good, but it comes at a price. Do you think we don't have enough ability in our team for what we are allegedly paying (i.e. the salary cap)?

We have some very good footballers in our squad, including in the spine. De Gois isn't one of them, but he does what's required, would cost very little, and allows us to retain our stars. How can you criticise that?

The fact we were rumoured to be looking at alternative right side halves suggests we have some room in our 2017 cap. So no, I don't think we have enough ability in our squad for what we are allowed to spend.

Fritchard may have taken up a lot of that excess but to be honest, I see him as a luxury not a requirement. Hooker was/is a much higher priority.

There aren't any off-contract dummy halves that I believe would be a big improvement on De Gois, even going into this year I couldn't think of one that I said "Oh yeah they'll be value for money". Yeah sure you have Peats but people were also complaining about our ruck area when he was at dummy half.

Our best option would be holding off until next year when there's a few dummy halves that come off contract, the biggest one being Josh Hodgson and Canberra also have Baptiste coming off contract in the same year. So the thinking behind signing De Gois for 2 years (contract finishes after 2018 surprisingly) was that we may not have the greatest attacking dummy half running around but he will be the cheapest option and it would allow us to spend more in other areas where we can attack from. Plus De Gois isn't a defensive liability.

Dummy half is definitely a priority in the fan's eyes, I think we could use a better player there. But I don't think the club should have just gone out and bought a dummy half for the sake of buying a dummy half. When the right player comes off contract that's when we'll strike, and we certainly have the money that a top dummy half would want.

He is certainly passing on his genes. Is there a better definition of success than that? Whenever I try to pass on my genetic material I get f**ken arrested.

u are stupid on purpose but other stupid people on here don't seem to realise that do they pau
I can understand why this upsets you. It must be painful to watch someone choose to be stupid on purpose when you yourself have no choice but to be stupid.
