Thats a NFL squad, or the trainers, coaches, etc. Take your pick.

Reading the tct logs there's no talk of asi, has he slipped way down for sanders?
He’s had an injury from playing for Samoa so hasn’t been involved much before before Christmas in opposed work. Noticing that Blaize was training at 1 before Christmas but is now training in multiple positions might be an indication that ASI could be used at 1 for cup and even in the centres. From what I’ve seen and heard there’s a good chance the cup halves are sanders and Lynn

Well what can the nrl do?

Gus managed to talk the dope into retiring. Now he changed his mind.

And after changing his mind he's decided not to go back to the Bulldogs where he was earning a shitload of money, but will go to the Broncos on presumably a lot less money.

This stinks to high heaven, and if the NRL don't even try to investigate it then there's really no point having a salary cap at all.

I'm sure that if they did they wouldn't uncover anything, Gus would have covered his tracks. But they at least have to show the public that they are looking into it.

If he is able to sign with the Broncos for this season then this has opened up a massive loophole for any club looking to get rid of an overpaid player within their ranks. Just offer them a shitload of money to 'retire', keep it off the books so it doesn't have to be added to the salary cap, and the player can go and do whatever he wants from there. We could have done that with Nathan Brown or Waqa Blake.

Was on a deal worth between $700-$800,000 reportedly. The NRL should reinstate the contract at the correct amount and whatever the difference between the Broncos offer and the Bulldogs offer is - the Bulldogs should carry on their cap for this season. Gus has quite clearly used this to not have to carry any freight whatsoever by releasing him back to the Broncos so they can fit in the multitide of players they have had arrive. Thats what they can do.

PVL has his head so far up Gus's arse that it will never happen though....

and the only Journo with enough guts to question the motives on this move is probably too drunk to report it..

I would argue below minimum football intelligence isn't the only thing he is average at.

The bloke would make the side of the biggest dopes to ever play first grade rugby league.

And there has been plenty

nothing smelly about that at all

The thing is he would want $$ regardless what the DOGS paid him out. Sides like the Dolphins and Titans certainly would be interested. I reckon at 350k most clubs in the NRL would be. I'd say a desperate club may even consider 500k for him. I highly doubt he will be signing for peanuts. Broncos did lose Herbie,Flegger and Capewell. I'd say they knew about TPJ before they released Capewell.

He retired from the DOGS. Why should his pay count under the cap?

It's more about the Dogs not having to have him under their salary cap this year if he got a payout (which he surely did).
