Exactly. When they’re down to 12 men is the time to hold the ball and force them to work hard.
We don't have a clear strategy and just panic when the opposition lose a player.

I believe that comes back to the lack of attention to detail that BA clearly never worried about which is why we have these players that have no strategy or system in place or anything ingrained enough to capitalise on when the opposition is down a man.

As i pointed out we have had 4 x games where we have had an opposition player sent to the bin.

40 mins for 1 try against 12 players. Yesterday was a continuation of those issues.

Were deadset taking the piss with those numbers.

Clubs like Melbourne & Penrith would already have a clear prepared game plan & strategy in place to utilise when the opposition lose a player.

We run around like headless chooks without a clue.

I think I've upset Sixties. Nice guy, but he's all over the place. See my comment at Reply 4.

I don't get your fascination with TCT and having to have dig at 60's (it's boarding on phantom's obsession with Pou)...

His response was fair enough, basically they aren't media, so they have to take what they can. So if they go to hard they could lose any access. And as a "supporter" site, they prefer to have a discussion and get what ever info they can to us fans....pretty fair response!

They also make it clear they aren't a forum (to much hassle).

And they do have a "dig" at the club in their podcast but it's balanced so it doesn't take over the pod. They have been going on about our squad and depth all year. And on BA, it was what's the use of sacking him, if they don't fix the other issues (recruitment/pathways etc)!! All fair points and what most post here.

Why get personal? And he had the decency to put his name to his response.

BTW, I think they do a great job, and their interviews have been good and give a better understanding of how things work.

It wasn't personal. My points were solid. He just didn't like the flaccid comment. The media comment was irrelevant as was him revealing his real name. He always does that. Who gives a f**k what his real name is. That's irrelevant too. What is relevant is that he won't ask any tough questions because they may ban his access to the bistro. (Not to eat but to do after game podcasts). I'd rather him just admit it.

Yes, TCT like many of us targeted Asi as a main culprit and congratulated The Dogs on how they embarassed our speed however when playing against 12 we cant get an overlap to save our lives. So much has to be done and undone before we can move forward with consistency.
I cant say I was a great fan of Ciraldo but look what hes done with their D in a season and a half. It was Panthers like defence against our boys last night. They number up, they trust, they are agressive and they work for each other. The score totally flattered us last night. It was a display not too dissimilar to some of our worst this year.

It's time to accept that Gutherson is basically done. Yeah he is safe but he offers f**k all in attack.

I said it all few years ago. Bulldogs are closer to a premiership then we are. @Poupou Escobar what do you think?

I also called the 4yr contracts to those 5 players would be a curse and we had to blow it up and semi rebuild rather then a slow sink.

But hey I'm just a deadset with no idea.

I also said 7yrs ago Penrith where building a powerhouse when they had done little since 2003.

I'm clueless.

The only explanation is that you are lucky and must have lots of resources.

For some reason I watched 2009 Eels/ Dogs on Saturday.

Seeing the relentless attacking of Idris was beautiful to watch. Clear strategy and paid great dividends

Obviously grilled to stick to a plan.

I don't recall our team in recent years focussing on working over a particular weak point in the opposition line in such obvious fashion

You had 5 guys who had always had patchy careers. And on their final big contract year they decided to put in 100%
And we caved. Imagine a worker who was always hot and cold but before his renewal started putting in a huge effort 4yrs before retirement. Would you honestly go all out for him?

BA's decision that these guys were our future at their age is going to cripple us for a couple of years

you'd have to laugh if we somehow picked ourselves up off the canvas and were a shot at making the finals with a win in the final round, and a BA-led Tigers knocks us off.

I'd take him.

But wouldn't signing the Cheese block "Boods" pathway to first grade.

Which isn't that what we have spent the past 3 or 4 years working towards is getting him ready for 2025.

It wouldn't make any sense to go after Cheese now.

We have done the hard yards with developing Boods lets see it through.

Smith is a massive dickhead. We don't need players like him.

Lack of plan B, no attention to detail, never looking to expose any chinks in the opposition armour

BA for his all strengths lacked any sort of tactical nous.

Same plan week in week out hoping we would win.

Its a shame you couldnt mix Brian Smith tactical knowledge into Brad Arthur's man management. You would have an elite coach.

Its going to take more then 11 games and a full-preseason to remove the habits & systems ingrained to the players.
