And this is why public figures don't engage on social media. Gus has been awesome answering questions for fans and so on, but as soon as something happens he becomes the target of idiots who think they have a right to know Cartwright's personal information.
Have you chatted to him about LBAs?

SHHHHH

Which club is considering moving one of their halves into a new position so they can sign a new playmaker for 2018?

I assume it is Widdop as they are thinking of moving him to fullback with Dugan to centre.

Both Dugan and Widdop want over 1mio a season but funniest is Josh Reynolds is apparently looking for 800k in his new contract.

Also, not sure if it is in that story, but apparently both Bromwich and McGuire have also resigned with their respective clubs (who do have flexible salary caps).

Johnson open to offers

A couple of Australian clubs have fielded calls to get a gauge of their interest in the Warriors No.7. The whispers about Shaun Johnson being frustrated with the merry-go-round of coaches and tired of the fishbowl of Auckland are getting louder.

The Warriors are deep in negotiations to keep him at the club, but if things don't progress soon, expect him to start talking to those Australian clubs monitoring the situation across the ditch.

As good as he is...no thanks.

Too inconsistent, and would be asking for too much money.

Agree on Widdop though. He's at least as good as Townsend. Plus kicks goals.

The clubs will decide what he's worth as well, and since he's not elite it's unlikely any club will be throwing overs at him.

It's reported that Saints want to give him a go at fullback (I think he's too slow these days) because he was a fullback in England before he came over here. But, yeah, I think he'd be a good fit at Parramatta.

From NRL 360 last night.

After Storm re-signed Jessie Bromwich, Nth Qld have Jordan McLean in their sights (may have already signed) after they are almost resigned to missing out on Matt Scott's signature on a contract extension.

Corey Oates re-signed with Broncos, but for only 12 months.

Brisbane have put one piece of their contract jigsaw in place after re-signing Queensland winger Corey Oates to a one-year extension.

Oates has been a surprise packet for the Broncos over the past two NRL seasons after being shifted to the wing full-time.

He has mutually agreed to a short-term extension until the end of the 2018 NRL season.
