Brian Smith used to say that team selections seem to sort themselves out. You think that you can't fit them all in but there is always an injury or suspension that makes the call for you.

Taka isn't a half, good player sure, but he's no half.

At least Hayne has the play making ability to be in the halves, Taka is much more valuable at centre.

But hey, different strokes for different folks I guess, I see some merit to both sides of this one, sorta.

Ad counting on Bevan or Gutherson at fullback is still a gamble. Neither are proven.

You've got more confidence in him than I have Baz, he's pretty green and may suit the FB role when he is a lot more experienced.

I dont pretend to know everything about the situation but as I have stated prior, I would take the punishment and move on so we can start fresh next year, nothing to do with Hayne at all.

We f**ked up, do the time and move on.

Defending on the wing is different when defending at fullback IMO. Not arguing that bevan needs to improve his wing defence but the kid has ever only played at fullback and needs time to learn how to read defence on The wing which is bloody hard. I think his defence at fullback would be much better as he is more familiar back there
