How long is G Jennings signed for???

One year prove-it deal as it stands. We have some tough decisions to make very soon, or otherwise find a way to somehow convince these blokes to stick around as depth.

George Jennings and Dane Aukafolau are off-contract I believe (not certain on Aukafolau though) as too are Bureta Faraimo, Nathan Davis and John Folau. Folau has fairly copped some stick in the last couple of years but since returning to Wenty from a fractured wrist he finally seems to have realised that he is the biggest merkin on the edges. Faraimo has been a good servant for Wenty but I am happy to move on and get Greg Leleisiuao into his spot while Davis is NRL quality talent wise but hasn't nailed down the hunger/motivation aspect of it all.

There are a few SG Ball and Holden Cup backs that will be ISP worthy in the next 12-18 months as well, in my opinion.

I was very impressed with Gutho's performance yesterday. He has a maturity about himself and more often than not makes the correct choices when he has the ball in his hands. On top of that, he plays within himself, shows instinct and is relatively injury free. We need him in out team.
What about when he drops the ball in his own in goal?

Agreed, we need to be very careful about which backs we sign for next year, given we now have Moses on his way for 2018. We already might be unable to retain Auva'a - where would we play him in our full strength side?
To be fair, we can't fit him in our full strength side as it is. I'd re-sign him for sure.

Auva'a was always going to be a good purchase, He is a must re-signing.

Why?
We will have Jennings and Gutherson in centres and taka on books. Unless Gutherson moves to fullback and Bevan to wing.

Big Danes also a centre. If Auvua plays to well another club will snap him up.

Tuha,Faraimo good bye.
Dane and GL are ones you make priorities. Potential to be special or flops.

Of the rest i doubt if let go would come back to bite. All can be first graders. But none are stars of the future and we wont be kicking ourself for letting go.
Schulte has the size and hands to be handy and worth persisting with.
Davis might come good but doesnt seem to have the speed or power to be special.
Falou has power. Plenty of it. Id keep.

Id like to see Davis at fullback. Reminds me of Dugan kind of style.

I've been told that there could be a genuine issue with The email that was sent to all the clubs last week regarding the cap limit , some clubs seemed to have over spent their budget and could be in a real spot of bother... I'd be surprised if the dogs or roosters announce those 3 players soon..especially the dogs who may need to shed some serious talent, I actually think the NRL could be deadly serious about this..

Oh you can forget about Tupou was told that he will be at the roosters next year..100%

All that's true, but I think someone like Tanginoa would probably walk into their top 17, so would Gower, who are both off contract anyway and only going to be used sparingly at most

I don't think the tigers would give up their best half (2nd best attacking player) and goal kicker for a back-up forward. They might and I might be overestimating the smarts of the Tigers' admin. But I just don't see that swap happening.

So technically we could be back in the game for the big name player we missed out on?

If the dogs are 100% sold on making their forwards the pack in the comp by adding Woods I'd gladly take Klemmer off their hands.
