I got a text the other night saying his asked for a release and i was a little shocked given his best mate is arriving there next year, it's only when I looked into it a bit further did I get the story was nothing like it was originally reported.

I am starting to think with Vave and Mannah back, Kaysa playing at his best, Jennings and Norman back, that we have the potential to cause some damage in the finals.

I'll wait till we play some half decent teams before I cast some judgement on that.

We're yet to beat a big team so far this year, until we do that a couple teams we will struggle to even make the 8.

We have won most of the games against teams we should have beaten but struggled against the top teams, we need to change that.

We've beaten the Dragons who are 3rd and Manly who are 6th. Both were at full strength at the time too, I think.

I wanna see us beat someone like the Sharks, Melbourne, Roosters, Broncos, the teams that will be there come the end of September, until then I am not too convinced we can give it much of a shake.

At the time I said that It thought both teams would win more than they lose, and got not much support for the idea.

That's the problem there is a huge difference between our worst and our best, and against any good top team I feel like we could still get blown off the park at any time like we did against the Roosters and for me that's a major concern. If we recruit smartly these next few years are huge, and your right it could present us with a premiership window but we are still a few players off that, it will be interesting to see what happens comes years end because I can see some massive player movements due to the salary cap saga where no one knows what they are working to for next year. If we wanna go for it, we need to go all out and recruit accordingly.

I see nothing to suggest that BA is doing otherwise - except not making an offer to Paul Vaughan.

However we havent been full strength. We have had Norman,Jennings,Taka,Bevan,KE miss quite a bunch of games.
Also Frank,Terepo,De gois out tests our depth.

He's actually not a terribly good defender. But he does make a lot of tackles. He didn't miss 10 though, he missed 6

We were the only team to beat the Dragons until the 8th round.

In that lot we've only played the Sharks and Roosters so far. I don't think we'll challenge for the title but at the start of the year I think a lot of forum posters had us in the 6th-10th range. In that part of the table I think final ladder positions come down to a team's injuries, luck of the draw playing teams during Origin and when you play other teams when they have players injured.

I don't think we've been at completely full strength since Round 2 and in those opening rounds we dominated our opposition without them ever looking like winning. Once we get back to full-strength (Norman, Jennings, Mannah) I think we'll get back to that dominance we saw in the opening rounds. And from there once combinations start to get stronger and our team's confidence grows I think we can jag a few wins against complacent top 8 teams.

I still think we can win comp. I mean why not? If Moses finds his feet and Kaysa,Bevan keep improving it could be a great team.
Yes there are better teams but if the 3 players i mentioned find feet then why not.

Our backrow is as good as any. Our backline (centres/wing) as good as any.
Aslong as our props had a few big games we can do some damage.
