Maybe BA just meant that we didn't have the money Peats was asking in terms of what we were willing to dedicate to a hooker? Maybe he was talking shit? I'd be disappointed if it was the former tbh

He is a great tackler and 100% effort. But he isnt a superstar. Just not a lot of good hookers around.

I rate King. Really good attacking hooker who would have been a starting hooker if not for his injuries. The concern is he can be dominated in defence.

Nobody said Peats is a superstar, but he's a damn good player, and his ability to put his forwards on the front foot is hugely under-rated.

He might've been a one man band in attack but in defence he had plenty of mates. Only two Bulldogs forwards made 100 metres - Tolman (132m in a massive 19 carries) and Klemmer with only 104.

Will Hopoate ran for over 300 metres though.

Evans has seemed to strugle to consistently put back to back games together for the Roosters for a couple of seasons now and Meehan obviously has attitude issues.

We'll need more than those two before we'll be contenders.

I've got my misgivings about Evans, and Meehan is a project, but at least we know what we need and are addressing it. Too many posters sit there and go "we need to add props" and refuse to say who.

So, who? As I said, I'd love NAS or Paasi, but they will be very tough to pry away from their clubs.

We had doubters about the signing of Moses as well but he's shut a few people up. Arthur will improve Evan and Meehan give them a chance first before judging.

Back on props, I think we could have had a crack at Liam Knight. Well, I don't know that we didn't, but he fits the bill in a lot of ways....he's 22, he's 191cm and just shy of 110kg....could have been a roughie.
