I thought Souths were allowed to hold our players down quite a lot last night. It didn't help our game in the middle.
Souths were quick out of dummy-half at certain times of the game as well. Probably all contributed to people seeing it as our forwards getting smashed.
For the record, I thought Alvaro, Mannah and Ma'u all had very good games last night.
And Scott too in his short stint.

Maybe so but dreary old Glen has been saying our pack is shit since Twizz was a boy so I think it's as much confirmation bias as anything. We struggled, therefore we struggled because of his existing idea that the pack is shit.

We made metres pretty easy, they were allowed to hold us down and slow the game and we still made as many metres up the middle than they did. If not more. And our defence in the forwards was good. Despite being on the wrong end of the refs interpretation of what was happening in the ruck we won the game in the forwards, we just didn't use the platform well apart from a few occasions and thankfully that was enough to win.

Yeh bit rich coming from him. But we are probably the team that plays a style closest to the storm and I do feel we could trouble them. Cronk said yesterday he thinks that we are the team that will trouble them the most
