f**k off, the coach didnt do that .... the coach only f**ks em up

People are saying they can not play together. 2017 seemed to ok.
I think best to keep Norman. If can piss Jennings off we can run with this

1Bevan/Hayne
2Fergo
3Hayne/Salmon/Parry
4Gutherson
5Jennings/Sivo/Dunster/Bevan

On Parry he was listed at 195cm and 101 kgs a year ago. He is now 19 and will turn 20 at some stage next year. Could be an option but guys like obscene will have to update us on this.

Im not against Taka in centres. I dont like him in the 2nd row. I would then use MJ money even if we have to throw 200k we should end up with 500k to spend. Id look at a top shelf prop.

On MJ to titans it might be worth a 2yr deal take over for Latu. My guess is he would be costing around 400-450k. Worth a 250k shot if titans see as excess and we wipe the jennings debt.

Id also take a punt on Bryce. Could pick him up very cheap and loads of potential. I think he will end up at Manly .

I agree that if this is the case then both merkins should not be here long term. However, they only have 1 more season left on their contract. I’d be keeping them for 2019, which gives us a whole year to assess if Brown will be ready for 2020 and/or to scour the market for 1 or 2 halves. It seems senseless to get rid of one this late in the piece without a better option.

I reckon the nrl has gone down a path where iffy players end up "not themselves" in their final contract year

They are likely distracted cos they can get a new contract from nov 1st and if it isnt panning out for them it can all go to shit

Some players might respond positively and try to play to impress for a new contract - but that might also mean playing selfishly .... some players might sook. I might add moses wasnt doing well half a season at tigers.

So i would say keeping both halves for the final year of their contract with no commitment to extend has a large chance of "going to shit"

Hindy talking up juniors again, that he'll talk down once they don't pan out

Not talking up anything. You need a good pack before backs. I would rather a junior on wing and piss MJ off if COULD land a quality prop.
Can have QLDS backline. With our forwards you still wouldnt make finals.
Dogs are a prime example of what a good pack with average rookie halves and an average backline can do.

Why Marty doesn excite me.
We will pay him 800k and give a 4yr deal.
2yrs would be all he has in him at elite. Anymore then a 3yr deal and we are repeating mistakes.
I also dont think he is a leader.

I’d actually like Tapau play on the edges instead of using him like a battering ram as the Beagles do.

He is quite an athlete and think he would be playing at his best out wide.

It's concerning we are trying to punt both Norman and Jennings without having as good quality replacements. Sure, Hayne and Gutho can play centre but that leaves us weaker at fullback and if Salmon plays centre, then we are weaker at centre.
And we don't even have a 6 to replace Norman.
I've said previously and I'll say it again, we'll rue it if Norman leaves. If our pack can dominate (we can always dream, can't we?) our halves will perform much better. Hell even this year we've been shit yet Norman was towards the top with getting repeat sets. Is that the mark of a poor half? Doubt it! Has Salmon, his likely replacement, actually shown anything other than he can tackle?

The key is the forwards, their lack of size and offloading, and I have little faith BA can improve that. Last year we had the second smallest pack just ahead of Broncos. Now we'd have by far the smallest imo. If the finals prove anything its the teams with the big packs that dominate that get to play.

Alvaro awarded Ken Thornett medal if it’s not been mentioned.

Peni Terepo coaches pick best forward.

George Jennings coaches pick best back probably suggests he has a lock on 1 wing spot for 2019.
