At the moment I would have Ray Stone ahead of him for the dummy half duties. Ray is a better defender and equal at the other stuff except kicking.

Stone can hit but he doesn't have the lateral movement of Mahoney. He also didn't have the experience or long passing game. He's improving though.

Somebody else mentioned how much improved Jamal Fogarty is under Holbrook, and how dog shit he was under BAs guidance, in saying he was not smart enough to give the kid much of a chance to prove himself, a perfect example of a very good and average coach in my opinion.

He wasn't dog shit, he was just stuck behind better players.

The only sides we can't beat is Storm and Roosters. I am unsure anyone can tbh. I'd be very surprised if they arent the Grand final and win the first week and get a bye the following.
Best hope would be Roosters slip up and finish out of 4 and they face each other in a grand final elimination semi

Mahoney couldn’t even get a 20’s start at the dogs, BA doing ok with him
I believe RCG is going better than he was at the panthers
Moses is a better player than he was at the tigers
How about Davey? I believe he played NRL under BA, 18 months from Park footy to NRL.....
Sivo was in reserve grade ....
Kafusi seems to have developed quite nicely

Anyhow Story is crap!! BA gave Fogarty a start in the 9’s (happy to be corrected), than he basically went back home to the Gold Coast without working for a start/playing NSW cup to show he should be picked.

Charlie Staines from Penrith has been given permission to negotiate with other clubs. Maybe we should stat to look at other options for our backline. The guy has speed that our backline hasn't got and can play wing and fullback, probably centre too. But he is a fullback.

We'd be mad to not look at him. Not sure his skills at fullback but from the moment I saw him play, and knew he played fullback, a thought came to me. Put him at fullback and move Gutho to centre to replace Waqa. In attack Gutho could float around like another half or simply stay in his position and feed good ball to Fergo. And out centre defence would improve. Waqa needs to go unless we can fix his D frailties. We need speed in our backline and he provides that in spades and well worth the $500k price tag.

He wasn't any f**king good three years ago, which is why he's played f**k all first grade. The year before we signed him he didn't even have an NRL contact. No club thought he was worth even a second tier deal.

The point he's making isn't that Arthur is a great coach, but that he isn't the reason for us not winning a premiership. Even premiership winners Hagan and Stuart couldn't do it at our club. But Arthur's has outperformed both of them.
