I have a theory that Moses would be a lot better if Joey wasn’t coaching him and clouding his thoughts.

Moses was playing just fine last year off his own ability. This whole ‘control the game’ mentality is all well and good when the team is going well but it’s taken too much of his natural game away imo.

Hard to blame him for the weekend, we were getting utterly destroyed in the territory battle. Mitches boot was actually the only positive we had coming out of our end.

Don’t even know if much blame can be attributed to Moses for the panthers game. 6 tackles in their 20m zone meant he didn’t really have much of an opportunity to construct repeat sets or tries. Our forwards weren’t really giving him much space to allow for anything other than Hail Mary kicks downfield.

I’d have loved to see him take a trick shot and go for the yet to be seen 20/40, if he’d missed at worst we’d have started in the same spot we did every other set in D (unless he kicked it dead on the full of course).

Im a Moses fan but something is wrong and I'm not totally convinced its his injury. Eg a massive run in an earlier game when run down by the cover. Eg2 his kick and chase try. Eg3 his long kicking game is still bloody long.
Whether its our support play, our attacking structures or our emphasis in D I dont know. Last year his short kicking game was sublime. Where's that gone?
To every question there is an answer. The people paid to answer that question need to solve the puzzle.
The Moses situation is starting to smell like our past Norman/Moses problem. We couldn't fix it so lets get rid of either of them. That cant be our end game this time around. The way our team are attacking is so much more that what Moses is producing.
Yep can’t rid of yet another player while the same clueless people in charge of our attack still have a job.

It’s not rocket science - Gutherson offers a lot but difficult to win a premiership without a fullback with speed to kill.
Target Charlie Staines - he has won every junior title, players player in the country and city football comps he’s played in.
Already suggested him.

Honestly a good coach could sort this out, either BA or one of his assistants. Trouble is we have none.

He made one run for 2m.
That’s pathetic. He is struggling.

I don't know if that is the problem. If he had a problem with Brown then he should be playing out of his skin, now that Brown is away injured. When Brown was out injured last year, Moses wasn't this bad. The only thing which has changed is that Moses has been injured this year.

I agree with you though, it does look suspect when he plays the entire game, kicks the ball, tackles players. Somehow this injury only affects his short kicking game and running game. Maybe a Physio Parra fan can tell us if there's such a muscle in the calf which hinders short kicking game and running game but not long kicking game, tackling and general play.

We barely seen the other side of our half. When we did finally cross the border, we took a shot at penalty goal. Not much he could do if jnr, RCG and co we’re getting monstered. Like I said before we were on a hiding to nothing with that disgraceful tactic. No second phase play, no bodies on motion, no early spread of the ball. Our forwards were lined up and massacred.

Two issues in regards to Moses, he is too temperamental, and will not reach his potential, and even less likely under this coaching regime!!
That seems like one issue to me?
But agreed. I don’t think it’s being temperamental so much as being too expressive in that temperament. The best players are probably even more temperamental than that at training, but in game they’re the most boring f**ks that ever ran on

Can anyone confirm Hollis isn't viewed as a nrl prospect. Just going off Avengers post. And also that lab doesn't rate Kyle.
Thanks.

And are there any backs bar Dunster in pipeline.

Hey fellas do any of you know Siosifa Talakai current contract situation. Sharkies are struggling with cap problems and the young fella is a goer and a big body. Could be handy to have on the bench next year?

our forwards were running one out and getting smashed and barely making a dent. We were coming out of our red zone every set. Are you thinking Moses may have done a better job of running over the top of Kikau or Fisher-Harris than Paulo or Brown did? When did you want him to run?

Funa(?) The fullback who played in the trial went ok. Salmon is another but hes obviously not wanted. Backs are a huge issue for those charged with our progression plan.
