As one of the 'experts' on the radio said over the weekend, why would Moses want to go to a struggling team again when he could stay at Parra and play in a team that has the potential to win a competition and be competitive for the next few years. I can't remember who the ex-player was, but he said he turned down a huge offer from a struggling club to stay at his club and be competitive.

Dearden is bog average, he’s hardly a loss but when blokes like that are leaving the once mighty Broncs you know they are in the shit. Overpaying overrated middle forwards and overpaying potential has gotten them into this mess. Without Don Talbot and the Thoroughbreds they have come back to the pack in a big way.

Playing for a dope like Kevvie is hardly going to inspire some big name recruits. Moses has got rocks in his head if he even contemplate’s going anywhere near the joint. They need more than just a halfback much more.

If he leaves we should drink Signwater.

If he leaves I reckon we try get Reynolds for 2/3 years on 700k PA.

We lose a bit in the creativity/off the cuff department. But we gain in the experience, consistency and game management department.

Having Reynolds could also allow Dylan Brown to focus solely on his running game.

Yeah, the biggest downside to losing Moses would be the hit to our kicking game. Reynolds would more than cover that, and give Drown time to improve his own kicking game.

Broncos have said they didn’t prioritise Dearden (or even offer him a deal) as they want a marquee half.

the only available marquee halves are Reynolds, Moses & Johnson.

I reckon Reynolds will sign with cronulla and Johnson will stay there on a much reduced fee, so that really just leaves Moses

Norman and Ash Taylor are both awesome on their day. Sam Walker is phenomenal considering his age.

none would currently be considered marquee however.

Norman and Taylor wouldn’t command more than $500k on the market.

Walker is a potential superstar but zero chance he is leaving the roosters

Depends if they are looking for an elite kicker (e.g. Reynolds, Moses) or an elite playmaker. Norman and Taylor are both better at the latter than Reynolds/Moses.

I wouldn't consider any of them truly marquee. Shaun Johnson used to be but how could you trust his body not to fall apart in any given season?
