The ball on Moses seems to really be in Parra's court at the moment, and they could realistically end this immediately. Parra should simply ask Moses what he wants to play for Parra. If they don't want to pay that, then the ball is back in his court to make the decision. Personally I think $1.1m is probably slightly unders given the new salary cap, but it is for 4 years (not sure if it includes this year though). I said he was worth $1.15m, but this was under a cap that is now higher than expected too.

So Moses did the "winning comps is the main factor" bit in the media, and it got Wests to up their offer to the most ridiculous (presumably final) offer they can make.

Now he goes back to Parra, and says there's an $800K / potentially $2.1M difference here, what can you do as your final offer - maybe talk them into an off-field coaching career path in lieu of a further year etc. He'll still look silly if he takes the Tigers money and goes back on his "winning comps" statement focus....

But he and his manager have this one on a string - Gutherson eat your heart out!

On Harper, I don't think it would be that hard to guarantee him a starting centre spot, and leave Blake in reggies as injury cover, or (if he's learnt to catch) fighting with Simonssen or Russell for the other wing spot.

Backs get injured here and there, and so they'll probably all get a decent enough amount of starting games across the season.
